I love her , she's always been my favourite novelist since we were read in P2 , Under the Hawthorn Tree. We even acted out the scene where they have to keep strangers out who were trying to get their food 👌

the 3rd book is the best. Peggy heads out west with James. a good ending for Peggy, she worked hard as a maid in books 2 and 3. the 3rd one is my favourite by far. Michael and Eily are also coping well. it's a shame that their parents didn't come home. Margaret and John were great. such a sad series. it's quite good.
