Van 't Kruys (1861-1919) was a Dutch composer, organist and conductor. Whenever he is remembered his organ pieces come to mind, but he wrote also many works for orchestra: opera-fantasies, overtures, suites, an organ concerto, and two symphonies. He wrote in a style that is similar to Richard Strauss and Strawinsky, but you can hear a great deal of Mendelssohn also in this 2nd symphony.
