Mariza Concert - Bucharest - 2024 (2/5)

Another fabulous birthday gift for me, was a ticket to the concert of the most famous singer of the Portuguese music genre named "Fado", the singer's name is - Marisa dos Reis Nunes ComIH -, more commonly known as Mariza. Being the romantic that I am, I have a special taste for this exquisite style of latin music. Because I adore Fado so much, I have always fancied Mariza, but never got myself to attend to any of her events, even though she came to sing in Bucharest in other years before. Thus, when my friend came to me and brought me this wonderful present, I was so delighted of such a beautiful surprise, and so happy for finally listening to the Great Maestra live. I must underline that besides she singing so impressively, she has done something that amplified even more my so very good impression of her, which is that at a certain time in the middle of the concert, in the middle of a certain song, this singer actually placed away from her mouth, the microphone, and continued singing the song in a capella manner, and she sang still so vividly and clear, and her voice still could be heard so loud and yet so nice, that she sounded as if she was an opera singer. Ah, and what an emotional feeling of nostalgia, to remind me of the times that I listened to live Fado singing at the taverns and restaurants of Lisbon and Porto, two of my favourite towns of Portugal. It was magnificent.
