I was driving in the car with my father today and heard this song on the radio, and after a bit of debating over whether I really cared that much, asked my father if he knew what it was called. He didn't, and unfortunately I had to leave the car before it was through. When my father got home from work, he hands me a piece of paper and tells me to look it up. I asked him what it was and he said 'it's the song you heard on the radio today'. I am now immensely glad I decided to say something.

Having studied the classics and attended symphonies all my life as well as teach music I can honestly say that I have never heard a more moving piece. Beautifully constructed and great movement in tonality as well as crescendos and decrescendos that both elate and bring one to near tears. Absolutely exquisite.

I heard it for the first time during French class while listening to the radio on my iPod. The CBC station in Manitoba, Canada plays classical music in the middle of the day, so I'm always able to hear classical.
