I worked for her in Palm Beach and she was one of the nicest people i have ever met. Very down to earth(she was a business woman). I remember one time a family of five ,their house burnt down and she bought them a new house

The moonstone and pearl demi-parure is staggeringly beautiful!!!

Yes, I love moonstone as well. The first tiara featured, that one I like better in it's original form, with the emeralds. I adore green, so emeralds and peridot are my favorite stones, but moonstone is up there too!

Of the 3 collections, I find this collection to be the most intriguing.

Dazzling collection indeed! I like the peridot bracelet, her philantrophy shows her immense generosity is wonderful. Thank you, Andrew, for another lovely video. Stay well as always.

She was an amazing woman. Do you know that that the Mercy Ships started with Marjorie? She sent her yacht with doctors to help during WWII. She also built Trump’s Mar-a-Lago.

The George Headley you used the pic of in this content unfortunately is not the jewelry designer, the person you used their pic is a West Indian cricket player from the old times named George Headley. You wanted to use the picture of George W. Headley. Too bad. I was kind of excited that Marjorie Merriwether Post was a patron of a black jeweler back when it was not the norm and would be very progressive of her at the time so I went in a deep dive to find out everything about the designer and his other works and unfortunately discovered the error.

I like the ruby demi-parure and the large art deco emerald brooch. The Marie-Louisr tiara was utterly ruined by replacing the emeralds with turquoises. From magnificent to blah in one ill-advised step.

Possibly compiled by AI? The sentence at 1:25 doesn't end. The word at 1:41 should be "provenance," not "providence." "Arpels" is mispronounced. Anyone knowledgeable in jewelry wouldn't do that. The mineral in the blue diamond is boron, not baron. Then "Van Cleef and apples."

I cannot get behind the jewelry from the Victorian era and the Edwardian era and 1950s-70s. I'm surprised she has such few art Deco pieces in her collection considering her age at the time she started collecting. Also tourqoise is such an unattractive stone to have in European jewelry. It works so well in Native American jewelry with silver but in a Tiara the diamonds seems too opulent and out of place for the more muted tourqoise. For a woman with so much wealth her jewelry collection is awfully dowdy and unattractive. That Napoleon diamond necklace and the heart shaped blue diamond tho? Fantastic! The pearl and moonstone as well was pretty cool.

So what? Who does? At least, instead of giving it to Uncle Sam, she gave it to the public so the generations to come can enjoy it. I see this as a positive.
