This a Natalie Wood video based on her 1958 film "Marjorie Morningstar", where Natalie played a young Jewish aspiring actress who falls in love with an older man while working at summer camp, a fellow camp's theatre director, aspiring Broadway playwright and producer Noel Airman (Gene Kelly). But Marjorie's family objects to him and their summer romance is ill-fated and volatile, and when Marjorie realizes that Noel isnt really going anywhere in life and he is better off without her, doing what he loves instead of conforming to a profession her parents deem as "suitable", it dawns on her that Noel's former assistant and now successful playwright Wally Wronkin (Martin Milner) has loved her all along. While it's not one of Natalie's best-remembered films, it is a very bittersweet story and Natalie's performance is outstanding. Music by The Carpenters. Enjoy!

Hearing Karen Carpenter's magnificent voice once again brings sadness and tearing up. She had this incredible ability to bring one into her songs more emotionally than any other singer I've ever heard among women, and only one or two in men: Buddy Holly and John Lennon. Karen was only 32, eleven years younger than Natalie, 43. No less an authority as Paul McCartney said about Karen: "She had the best female voice." I never will believe Natalie died "accidentally." The fact the captain reported she and R. Wagner had a violent argument that night, and after Natalie went overboard, the captain wanted to turn on the boat's searchlight to look for her. Wagner refused to let him! How a captain of a ship would allow anyone to deny basic human right to look for an overboard passenger is beyond belief, and is outrageous! I'll never believe Natalie's death was anything but deliberate murder. She once said it was a mistake to marry him that second time, as I'm sure they had plenty of violent arguments prior. I believe there has been a cover-up for the past 40+ years, and Natalie deserves justice. She feared the water all her life, and the bruises on her after being found also lend credence to being beaten and then thrown overboard, rather than simply falling. I despise Wagner, and either guilty for actual violence, or just refusing to let the captain put on the searchlights, show he should be brought to justice for his crime against one of the greatest and beloved actresses in Hollywood' history!

Natalie wood will always be remembered.never ever forgotten. She is a true legend and will always live in my heart... still my favorite tribute to honor Natalie Wood short life. I cant help cry sad tears as I see your beautiful well made video. You chose the right song. Couldn't have been better. Karen heavenly voice just flowed perfectly. One of her very touching serious roles she ever did in my opinion. :'((( May she keep resting peacefully. May Karen keep resting peacefully as her life was very short lived too.

Responsible for her death. It saddens me that her life was ruined and taken from her. She deserved much better.

A beautifully done video as always, my Darling! I've always loved the Carpenters; Karen's voice is pure poetry that was touched by God. You really captured the hunger for love that I saw in this montage, and I could feel every word and nuance in Karen's voice penetrate right to my heart. I wonder if you are as elegant as Natalie was...Anyway, I loved it, Thank You so much, keep it up, I'll be around. :D

Both Gene and Natalie do a fine acting job here. BUT there weren't enough good times. Too much anguish. Of course I wanted to change the end. Hated it. Gene was so gorgeous and he always carried his age well. He looked a lot younger than his 45/46 years of age. Good Genes!!!

I love the idea of this movie. I truly love Gene and Natalie. But I really hate the ending. It's so depressing. Because I am a romantic I wanted Gene and Natalie To end up finding happiness together. But I guess I will have to make do with the sad ending. Gene looked damn good for his 44 / 45 years. But then he always looked at least 10 years younger than he was. Gorgeous and sexy.

I love Gene and Natalie. But their characters in this film were really annoying. Of course I wanted her to be with him and for him to get himself sorted out.
