Once upon a time, when country music was country. Great legends both Waylon Jennings and Mark Chesnutt.

Wow! First time I’ve seen this video, and I thought I’d seen all of Mark’s videos. Waylon’s voice and Mark’s voice pare so well together. I sure miss getting to see Waylon perform

It always astounds me how much Waylon transformed himself from angry, drug fueled Outlaw to happy, charming legend. Man's music changed my life....loved him when he was a bad boy, loved him as a good one. Great artist.

Waylon Jennings was as great as anyone who ever went into a recording booth and turned out a huge hit as only he could he is surely missed because what Nashville is turning out today is a disgrace to country music I don't even turn my radio on any more I listen to CDs of Waylon Tracy Byrd Gary Stewart

Tommy Petersen Waylon was always a good guy. People just pissed him off and he started doing drugs. He was still always the caring, emotional and big man that he was. I think he just wanted to hide it like most people that are similar emotionally. He just wanted to do what's right.

Went to clean cut outgoing man 1959-1971 Outlaw , druggie , Angry , etc. 1971-1984 Charming , nice , sober. 1984-2001 Became a born-again Christian 2001-2002 (passed away) RIP.

He was never angry and if he was it was the drugs that caused him to be that way trust me I know all about it anyway Waylon is a hell of a man and a singer and so is Mark Chesnutt and these guy's sound great together

WOW! This is first time I saw this. Waylon is my all time favorite in Country Western music; and as he got into the last half(?) or later years of career he began to be sought out by Mark (here) and Travis Tritt some years later...plus other male singers... a dozen or so big name women singers wanted (and did) duets with him. I believe before when he died in 2002, , so darn sadly for we who loved this guy so much, he had been about 15 years or more in the ("Highwaymen) C/Western foursome, w/Willie, himself, Johnny Cash and Kris K...going around the world in live shows, having them recorded and going Gold, the 1st Highwaymen album went triple Platinum. Each of the four singers in the group were legends by then as singer/songwriters...and to see them live, on stage all over the globe was the best. I smiled when I heard him say on this video that there were times when he wondered if anyone knew he was around? Oh my, oh my Waylon...millions loved you when you first began and like me, many years later, listen to you all the time...and love that voice, your great humor and kindness. Did you not know to millions you are # 1 forever?

This is awesome. I didn't know Mark played with Waylon. Waylon was Country Music and still is. It's a shame no radio stations play the Outlaw Country stuff anymore and all they play is Nashtrash pop country now. Mark Chestnutt is playing in Caldwell, Idaho. I should go see him.

Thanks to Waylon (and those who understood him and what he wanted to do with the changes in Nashville he began,) we will have always the entertainment he did by his disciples he gained as well as new singers that come on the scene and declare that Waylon is the one who influenced them. He was great! Thanks for posting this Mark...you are in that great category too.

My Dad was a friend of Waylon. Waylon was actually the one that told my Dad to book Mark at our Nightclub in Jville NC. Mark put on one helluva show! Matter of fact, within a month of him coming we had to move the concert to the drag strip. Cause we couldn’t hold all the people in our club.

I grew up listening to my dad fiddling around with his guitar. He is a big Waylon fan and I grew to like older country. My mom and dad both introduced me to better country. Mark Chestnut was a good one for me when I was a kid in the nineties. I enjoyed this. I never saw it before now. ☺

Great video! So glad I am in a day and age I can go back and see them perform! I am about Mark’s age. We just saw their pictures on the Cassette covers, CD covers and now KZbin! Love it! Waylon is still alive through these video’s as many other great artists. ❤️ I lived in Alaska during these times and we only had 2 TV channels in the early 90’s 😂

OMG how I do miss WAYLON and being able to see him in live concert. :-( The best concert experience of my life was seeing WAYLON at the SURF in April 1995 and he came back there the 1st and only time since the night he played with Buddy Holly in 1959. Stood within 50 of him and had my ear next to the speaker. Great great experience.

I grow up in 1970s county music so yes truly enjoy both artist together and mark does sound like Waylon . I got see him back 1988 downtown Mpls area spoon with cherrie on top. Me and my sister both enjoy concert. Funny part was we lucky back then was my twenty. Half price. My favorite was Daddy walk the line. Use listen on radio stations back then in car. So much pure country music was better. Then now days. A plus video and song. Plus Duke of Hazard show. Got all fun watch .

Nice Guy this Waylon but as a singer, in comparison with this shorty from Beaumont/Texas, he sounds as a COPD-er.....Literally words from Waylon himself: The perfect country sound brings George Jones, and Mark Chesnutt sounds as ....GJ (words from GJ). So....
