Interestingly (to me 🤣), Mark Eichorn (82, 86-88, 92-93), Dave Collins (83-84), and Mariano Duncan (97) all spent time with the Blue Jays. Eichorn could make batters look silly especially his rookie year of 1986 where he pitched 157(!) innings out of the bullpen going 14-6 1.72 ERA and averaging over a strikeout per inning. He was probably the 3rd or 4th best pitcher in MLB that year by a variety of stats (e.g. WAR) and was 5 IP short of qualifying for ERA title etc.

He had a WAR in '86 over 7 too. Canseco's War 3.3. WAR was not a thing in '86 but if it was, Eichhorn would have been rookie of the year quite possibly.

@@EugBaseball I was looking at the ROY results too and Canseco stood out for his HRs and RBIs and he had all the hype with his raw power. You could even argue that Wally Joyner, despite finishing 2nd in ROY, actually had a better year with a 3.2 WAR. But even if WAR was a thing it's still hard for me to imagine them giving 86 ROY to some weird soft tossing reliever over a classic slugger -- just wouldn't pass the eye test.
