I started spinning records 22 years ago. Bought shitty decks a couple weeks after seeing you and Derrick Carter serve fiends and go stupid dumb on a 5 hour, 4 deck B2B set. Mark, you and Derrick Carter have sculpted my entire concept of music from very early on (dance or otherwise with Mushroom Jazz, jam cruise sets, etc). No hyperbole, you guys have defined what it means go have a personal artistic vision and be true to it, to develop a unique voice in my mixing, and kept the fire of funk alive in my heart for all that time. You consistently impress me with the simultaneous breadth and focus of your record selection. Your total lack of pretense and bullshit makes the dancefloor focus you have even more pronounced. I'm totally unreserved in saying you are my all-time favorite musician, DJ, and tastemaker. Your boundless love for the music is so inspiring I can't even express it Thank you, dude. So much

It's phenomenal! Joey is seriously one of the greatest producers to have existed. When you take into account all his aliases like: Bosco & Terell, Count Funkula, Frequent Flyers, Mario Fabriani, Spyro Pappadopoulos, The Girth. A true House Legend! (I do have a hard time dealing with the fact that Wolfgang Gartner has received the most focus in recent years though)

Aw damn I love these MF home studio recordings! As a proud owner of his original mix-tapes going back to the mind 90's, it amazes me how far we've gone to be able to so easily enjoy his mixing in such a short timespan.
