This is GFR. The real deal. Brewer's "cover" band is missing this guy. I love the hat. It's a good look for him.

Although I agree, Brewer is a great drummer and singer. Just wish he wasn't such a dick. As always, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
@robbiedaug5 ай бұрын
@@nickjones2656 Totally agree. I really loved them when they were with Terry Knight. The dry studio sound was classic. When they brought in Craig Frost, and other producers, for me, it wasn't quite the same musically. Suddenly their studio sound was full of wet reverb. I got used to it but Shinin' On was the last album i bought. The brightly colored, satin suits didn't match their music. They became too flashy on stage for me. It's as if they forgot who they were. I think the real problem started in GFR when Mark confronted Knight about the money when there were only three months left to go on the contract. That was a bad move. After that happened and they lost to Knight in court, and they had to restart, they shortly ended up in oblivion. In the end, Brewer and Mel were pretty sneaky with their old breadwinner friend. They threw Mark under the bus, and kicked him to the curb. That's low, and it makes it difficult for me to see Brewer's GFR acting so happy on stage as if Mak never existed while they sing Mark's songs. Let's hope Mark has been getting big royalty cheques from Brewer's GFR performances. But i wasn't there, so who am i to say? It's just my opinion.

I've said this before - if you look up ROCK GOD in the dictionary - there is MARK FARNER! I saw GFR several times in concert great WITH Mark even when they reformed in the 90s - amazing. WITHOUT Mark - they SUCK. Mark can hire the drums and bass - HE is the star.
