That painting could've existed 500 years ago, minus the watch. Jane's reminds me of a more modern Norman Rockwell. I'd say he's very pleased. Bravo!

I'm just starting to learn how to paint using oil paint. I'm an watercolor fanatic, so this is really new to me. Your channel is so helpful and I absolutely love this painting!!!

I've not yet been able to get my head around watercolour because it's so much harder to correct your mistakes than it is with oil. I have a lot of admiration for successful water colour artists. have you seen Sargent's watercolours? Also have you seen James Gurney's KZbin channel, he does a lot of plein air with gouache and he's amazing?

@@SIMPLIFYDrawingandPainting yes. I too admire sargents landscape works if I recall them correctly. 😊 For me, watercolor took some time to get just right with my hyperrealistic style but I'm just now trying to let loose a little bit and let the water do most of the work ☺️
