Very good interview by Mark, who has a boatload of experience in aviation, from the military on up. Good luck, Mark

Teaching is the same way. Our "profesional and managerial" class made all the good jobs suck except theirs. Our administrators, superintendents, managers and executives all suck at life. We don't have leaders anymore, we have managers. This is their results.

Still the best way if you can pass the tests, right after high school sign up for Warrant Officer flight training at Ft. Rucker AL for either fixed or rotary wing aircraft. The training is superb, no college necessary, I think you have to give Uncle Sam 4 years after school, which is lengthy. You will be called Mr and your job is close to being a civilian.

If there was a true pilot shortage, the 1,500 hour rule and the age 65 requirement age would go away.
