Mark Herndon , as a lifelong super fan who knows a little bit about this situation being I was born, raised , have lived my entire 48yrs in Mobile Alabama, I want you to know that anytime ALABAMA ever comes up no matter how or why or whatever the reason ........I think of you and what you have done for this Band is nothing less than Randy, Teddy, and Jeff! No matter what has happened or what might happen in the future!! You represented honorably and deserve your due!

Mark is cool. I met him during a book signing and he's just a regular guy and has a wonderful sense of humor! He's a great drummer no matter what band he plays for.

Mark's book, The High Road, is excellent. I devoured it in one day and just couldn't put it down. He's the best drummer ever (of course,) and a pilot and now an extremely good author. It was an awesome trip. Thank you, Mark, for being such an inspiration!

ALABAMA BAND: MOUNTAIN MUSIC TOUR 1982: In 1982 on the Mountain Music tour I met drummer Mark Herndon during a break of the band playing softball 🥎 against the local radio station DJ’s. I was a beginning drummer and asked him how to play the fast part on Mountain Music. He showed me with his hands on his legs explaining it was a paradiddle-diddle between the kick and snare 🥁. He said to learn it slowly listening to Ride the Train from the Feels So Right album. I’ll never forget how kind he was to a young drummer and a total stranger! I’ll always love the Alabama band!

I don't care what anyone says, he got screwed over!! I know he is being a humble about how he was treated! He was the sound of Alabama for the all their 42 top hits or whatever the hell it is. I kind lost respect for the cousin's treating him like shit!!

Me and Mark Herndon has something in common beside the first name. Even when he is older than me,we shared the same birthday. Sure like to let him know that.

I hated to see Mark leave the band. He gave the band a bit of a Rock edge. Alabama wouldn't have been the same without him.

I heard Randy Owens beat Mark Herndon out of a lot of money is that true?

Alabama should be ashamed of themselves. Mark was with the band from the get go before they made it big and he was made a salaried employee. What jerks! All of the wealth they accumulated and they hoarded it between the three cousins and cut Mark out. As a huge Alabama fan I find this repulsive and wrong. Mark earned his keep and should not have to work a day for the rest of his life.

I totally agree, Uncle Elmer!!!!!!!

I agree completely. I'm a fan and always will be and I truly believe that they are all great guys, but did Mark wrong. His image is right there along with Randy Teddy and Jeffs on all album covers and promotional products as well as all awards and during acceptance speeches many times he spoke first! I don't know what Randy's wealth was when he spear headed the suit against Mark but Randy is worth over 60 million today, and the group sued for a paltry $202,000 thousand? C'mon.....`Randy goes on and on about tradition and family, well Mark is family and should be treated as such.

Mark was not cut in on the band's big profits and should be. This dude has ALWAYS been a fan favorite for decades.

Mark is “TOP NOTCH”. I had the extreme honor of having him play drums on a couple of select records I produced. He is one of the most down to earth gentleman I have ever met. Mark, I’m still waiting on that airplane ride 😊. Hopefully we can meet up sometime in the near future. Warm Blessings my friend 🙏 and keep up the great work. You are a true inspiration to many people, especially drummers 😊.
