This is the first time I’ve watched something go round the tt coarse and be able to make out what was going on . It’s quick but compared to the bikes it’s so slow to watch . Good film

I know Mark is amazing but that Pro Drive car is bad arse. Cornering near 90 degree turns at over 100mph and pulling 2+ Gs. The car cost nearly a million dollars which was built nearly 10 years ago.

really fast lap. But unless the car can be upped in speed to 180-200 instead of 160-180, I don't think it can beat the bike times. its often said cars are faster than bikes, but in a very fast high speed track like this, its going to remain an open question. Great Lap!

@@jessicatorretto159 This isn't generally true. On most circuits, cars will beat bikes - more corner speed, better braking, more grip. But the TT track is super fast, and without a lot of slow/medium areas, the generally high speed nature of it lends itself to bike speed. In this video tho, you can see for instance the car is faster through Glen Helen..

Yes, there are some impreza Sti:s that have a 8k redline (usually 7k), so a modified EJ that has a 9k redline isnt strange.

Some top speed sections would reach a slightly higher top speed, yes. But acceleration out of the slower sections is key to lap time here. It's always a compromise, and although briefly hitting the rev limiter in top may seem less than ideal, very little time is lost so long as it is not much more than about 1% of the lap.
