Wanted to go tonight to Long Beach.where hes playing at Mulvaniys but .couldnt get to it. Anson is the epitome of the Texas blues guitarist , among the greatest. Get his album with his old band,the Rockets with Sammy Myers, My Love Is Here To Stay.......da kind!

3:49 Anson, almost like a seasoned jazz improviser, quotes the main theme of the tune in his solo, once, mid-phrase, never loses the pocket. That is high level Kenny Burrell-ish understatement. Amazing. Blues might sound simple but IT AIN’T when played right!
