I I don’t think he’s even 5’10”, seems closer to 5’8.5”. Most guys around that height say they’re 5’10” or 5’11” when competing in heavyweight to lessen the perceived gap.

Mark Hunt is a beast. I mean look at the size of his arms versus Struve. You can see at one point when Struve tried to grab him, Hunt just tossed him on the ground. To win this fight Struve needed to play it smart, keep Hunt outside of his wingspan and use his reach to his advantage. Land effective hits and retreat, because he wasn't going to overpower him in strength.

The way that Mark Hunt stepped away from Stefan Struve immediately after connecting that devastating left hook was the BEST. He's a warrior & just knew...he probably felt Struve's face crunch when he connected & he followed through. That punch was just plain mean.

I know Stephan's jaw was broken in this fight, but the slow motion shows it coming out pretty far. Hunt knows it and just walks up to the fallen Stephan then waited for the referee to stop the fight.

Size does matter though but struve wasn't particularly coordinated for a ufc fighter and mark hunt can CRACKKK if a tall guy has a great defense, jab and lead uppercut he can dominate

Don’t forget comier was the baddest man on the planet in his prime and rag dolled ppl much taller because he was around 260. So yes your right size does matter much more than height. That’s why there’s weight classes not height classes 😂I’m 6’1 270 and train. I got humbled my first week in years ago because I was ignorant too back then and thought the same until some 5’6 150 pound dude that been training since he could walk basically
