Mark I Action at Midland Station - TTC Scarborough Line 3

Line 3 Scarborough, better known as the Scarborough RT, is a light metro line part of the TTC. The line runs entirely within the district of Scarborough encompassing six stations and 6.4 km (4.0 mi) of track situated almost entirely above ground. It connects with Line 2 Bloor-Danforth at Kennedy and terminates at McCowan via Scarborough Centre.
The line remained unchanged since its opening in 1985 and contains two of the least used stations in the system. Its revitalization and expansion plan-whether to convert the line into using modern light rail vehicles or to close the line and extend Line 2 Bloor-Danforth further into Scarborough-has been debated for over a decade by the City of Toronto. In September 2013, the Government of Ontario, under Premier Kathleen Wynne, announced it would fund the extension of Line 2 to Scarborough City Centre along a new alignment, which will result in the eventual closure of Line 3.

I may be from Toronto but I've actually rode these same Mk1 cars on Vancouver's Skytrains on the Expo Line. I personally love how these cars sound when they leave the station & I feel that Translink's Mk1s sound cleaner & smoother than TTC's Line 3

i love the old rt design, it actually fits the ttc. unlike this new blue color, blue is yrt/viva colors, red it for ttc. Also they just looked cool and retro plus the way the doors sounded are so cool

The time for the doors to start opening to departing was 7 seconds wow. Compare that to Translink it's about 2-3 times faster :| can someone tell me why?

depending on the operator, the trains are automatic drive with a operator to man the doors.
