Good British fighter at National, Commonwealth & European level & always up for it & a game fighter but not a Minter or Sibson who beat him 🤔😉👍

Was at this fight with my dad, was an unbelievable atmosphere. Plenty of punch ups in the crowd..a terrific night with my lovely ol Dad. We came home in the coach and my dad proudly had Marks “belt” on his lap. Great days and Mark was always a battler. ⚒⚒

The fights in the 80s were brilliant I love watching the fights where I was only one two three years old and always watch them on KZbin the names you grow up on but only ever see the reruns of. 🥊

Mark Taylor a great value for money fighter if he was around today he would have picked up one of the titles on offer this was a golden time for British boxing a time we will never see again

Kaylor was game all day, wasn't he? This fight, and the war with the supremely talented Errol Christie, were classics...

Great fighter Mark , never in a dull fight! Unlucky to be fighting in a golden era really . Watched all his fights on TV and the one chance I got I've watching at the Wembley arena the Sibson fight didn't happen because one of them pulled out the fight injured

Kaylor fought Sibson 1984.
@lloydpaddock38663 жыл бұрын
@@stevebowness9435 They did later but the show I went to in 84 where Sibbo was supposed to fight Kaylor it says in the programme that due to injury the fight wouldn't take place. Long time ago I know Steve the before mentioned event was the one where John Mugabe was top of the bill and Frank Bruno and Herol Graham were on the bill

I'm feeling that Kaylor would have made a decent villain in Guy Ritchie films a la Vinnie Jones.

Almost made me a West Ham fan watching this. Mark was one of my favourite fighters but too brave and reckless.

The supremely talented Roy Gumbs had no business fighting the flat footed Mark Kaylor like that. The ring also looks suspiciously small but there's no denying that Kaylor was a tough lad. Lawless was an awful trainer but he always got his fighters fit.
@davidramsay64612 жыл бұрын
The very first punch, Kaylor landed, after his knock down, nearly knocked Gumps out. I remember Terry Lawless mentioning it at the time,and when I looked again, it's true

Start of the fight the ref was in the neutral corner!! This was obviously before Hunnigan done his sprint across the ring trick lol

Great to see a cracking fight with no stupid music etc. We're not the complete idiots promoters and the media make us out to be - a great fight is a great fight and is lessened by all the stupidity. Football also is spoilt the same way.

Lovely lad mark. I remember us talking about him on the southbank and wondering jow far he could go. Great fighter but not as good at minter or Sibbo

Surprised why Mark Kaylor never fought Tony Sibson,same era.Sibbo would have battered him like he did to Minter

He did fight him. It was a close decision win for sibson 😑
