Mark King in my own opinion is one of the most talented musicians of all time. Not only is he an incredible bassist, but to sing aswell as playing some of the most complex bass lines, puts him on another page. Total respect to the legend he really is. 🙏👏👏👏👏👏

2:11-2:39... WOW.... My Favorite kinda thing (aside from his groovin jazz-funk rhythms) - the way Mark, THE KING, comes up with those gorgeous intervals! If that's not a song already, I wish he'd turn it into one! It's exquisite!

Mark could be playing for 15 minutes and I would crawl for 15 days to get there ! The man has inspired me and I'm sure countless others to play Bass or just dig music. At the very top of my bucket list is to meet this amazing Bass player , shake his hand and if I'm really on a roll , get his autograph on one of my Bass guitars I bought new , three weeks after I heard him for the first time in 1985 !

I have met him 12 years ago at The Hague Jazz, shook his hand, got his autograph, but I forgot the most important thing. To be on a picture with him. I had the camera in my hand, but I was a bit flabbergasted. It all happened in such a short time. Now he is the only favorite bass player missing in my photo frame!

Do you mean the use of a zero fret? I really just invested a minute into googling that and just skimmed the bits I saw (so no guarantee) but I think I read that it was Steinberger's idea (who've been around since 79) whereas Mark didn't start playing headless until later and with Status, of course.
