I have not kept up with Marks music much after Gargoyle and was not expecting this when I went to listen to this. First, it's a nice mix of old deeper cuts and stuff I really didn't know, but wow it is fresh. Love it. His singing voice sounds tar superior to his speaking voice which is way rough. He sounds so good and the band...whoa. I guess I have more to listen to. This is a great recording.

As an avid lanegan vinyl collector and proud owner of all the live LPs both he and rough trade released I can honestly say this is absolutely up there with his best releases. The set list is so diverse than a lot of his others and really showcases his range. I agree with one of the previous comments that penthouse high does deserve more releases. Here goes. I'm looking for a rare copy of Mark singing "Sparkle Horse's song" Spirit Ditch". I had it , so I thought in my "Bookmarks" nut can't find it now. OK then Thank you in advance either way. Indeed there are 31 pages for Mark Lanegan on that "site" many are repeats or different versions like live /acoustic etc etc etc.@@jacobfish7090 I found that site in my Start page search by typing in rare songs for mark Lanegan. I was happily surprised!
