Mark my husband had a very severe aortic dissection followed by being on life support and speaking worse than our lovely Randy Travis who I love! Every day a doctor would try to talk me into a DNR and I said Father son and Holy Spirit have not had their say! On a Friday the sweet doctor said maybe he will speak better with therapy or maybe he will never speak again! I came back on Monday with his mother and he looked right at us and said I’m playing their game they never check out n me! I flew to the head nurse who said your imagining it! I want all doctors in his room stat! He told them clearly in three languages and doctors hung their head and said we got nothing! I said I told Jesus would come! So yeah Mark I’ve seen God!

I was a Pentecostal, then become a Presbiterian, where Jesus become my savior, when my Pastor took me to a Methodist church, baptised me the Baptised way by immersed under water and I still was not sure I was saved, until years later, when I learned that it was Jesus who was looking for me. I had thought it was me, but it was He looking for me. I thank God for finding me

I've got plenty scares to sit and talk to you about Mark. The one that is my biggest testimony is on my right wrist. I was about seven years old when I got it. I was tagging along with my big brother and his friend. We were playing a game of chicken and I fell in the ditch that we were walking around. I hit my wrist on a concrete block at the bottom of the ditch. I must have hit the main artery because the blood was shooting out of it. However, when we got to the ER it was closed up and stopped bleeding. I know that I was heeled by God because my brother, his friend and the friends mom prayed for me.

I was raised by my grandparents & my grandmother was a devout Christian & she would pinch me in church when I was little to wake me up & we were Pentecostal & a lot of dancing in the Holy Spirit, spoke in Tongues so It must takes a lot to keep me interested in a Preacher & I sure wish you had been my Preacher while I was made to go to Church!

My husband was just diagnosed with stage 3 brain cancer! I know the pain and shock you are feeling. Im here to as it seems my world has been turned upside down. My husband told me... if he would have never gotten this cancer, he would have never gotten saved . So he is grateful for his cancer!! Just remember we will see our spouses again in heaven with our Father!! God is Great!!

“God is in the interruptions of my life and seldom in my plans”, so true. I love how he coined that we are a bunch of “freaks, frauds, and failures”. I think the richest message of Christianity is that God is the God of the broken-hearted. We don’t have come before His throne with perfection because our perfections are but rags in His presence. Bless His Holy Name that He doesn’t require perfection only obedience. Thank you for posting this. Hearing Mark’s message has gotten me through the last few weeks. So appreciative of Mark’s insight. Beautiful person! I’ve been a fan for close to 25 years.

I doubt Mark will see this, but I have a sincere question for him. If we have no bragging rights (and I believe that is true), then does he have to "try" in any way to be good, or does he have to try to be better, go deeper, or climb higher, or is it automatic with believers?

I'm unsure exactly what you're asking, but may I venture a response, sincerely? I believe that as a "believer" that the wooing of God draws us to dig deeper, climb higher, etc., and because of this wooing, we have our own obligation to "try" to do our best. This of a young couple falling in love, if one woos, but the other never reciprocates, the relationship will not grow and both cannot obtain the deepest, fullest, and broadest that the relationship is capable of. It is why some should be shaken to their core should they ever notice that the drive to go deeper is no longer there, as God's wooing will not be forever. Hope that makes sense, and maybe sheds light on your question.
