Inspired by the rich, 5,000-year-old history of glass, Matthews works in a small studio exploring all the ways radically different designs and techniques can be used in a single form: the sphere. Matthews also uses tools and equipment that he’s developed specifically for the creation of his spheres. Why the sphere? Of course they are. There's no need to prepare for an impromptu description of glass-blowing events. Nobody prepares for it.

I think that's what was playing in the studio, and it's picking up on Mark's mic. You can really only hear it while he's talking. So much of it is about the same pitch as hos voice, it would be incredibly heard to (sound) edit that out.

First you have to cut from the registration tape the time when the pipe is inside the furnace. Second this object is too poor for more than one hour spent to do it. Lino has been a very good theacher but not all the products can be considered art pieces and the time you need to do something is very important. This is the reason why Murano is the only mecca for the Glass Masters
