When I was still job hunting, I knew some mayor whose town had advertised in the papers. I go with my papers and insist to deliver them to the mayor himself-- no appointment. Sat for like an hour and was ushered in- He listened to my very confident obviously rehearsed "speech" and he quietly but firmly told me. I am not going to give you a job, not because there is no where to fix you, but you are too good for this place! I will forever be thankful for his honesty; without knowing it he boosted my confidence and I always have his voice when I am going for any job interview - rest in peace Hajj!!
