There is a huge difference between an entertainer and a musician. Some are great musicians but not great entertainers. Others are entertaining but not musically gifted. Bruno Mars is so much both. He is a great singer but he really entertains. He is having a great time and draws his audience into having a great time with him. As an old fan of funk from the 70's, I am so glad to see someone else enjoy it.

I love seeing a gifted musician or singer as long as he is good, even if he's not a great entertainer. Music quality alone is enough in that case. I also love seeing a good entertainer even if the voice or musical skills are not perfect. But to have a not so good entertainer with very limited? That really sucks and I can't watch that. But Hollywood is full of those assholes today.

Well said! I had the chance to grow up in MJ's prime and let me tell you, it ain't the same. MJ lost his credibility due to the fact lip syncs his shows. This generation is a VERY lucky to have a guy like BM. Y'all should cherish every moment this guy comes up on stage. There ain't gonna be another one like him for a very long time, if he dies early. Kudos to this generation.

I'm more into all kinds of rock and metal music, but Bruno Mars is a really awesome big talent artist. It's so f*cked up that he doesn't get the bigger spotlight instead of miley cyrus, nicki minaj etc... Bruno Mars has more talent in his little finger than both those two. He really is the next MJ in my eyes. Extraordinary talent I can't wait too see what does next.
@eadee18479 жыл бұрын
Dude, I love that name! It's too bad heavy metal kind of died out, too. "Enter the sandman" was the shit!! I'm like you, too, when it comes to music, but I do listen to all the other genres like country and soft rock as well as hip-hop and r&b. So if it comes down to music these days, it would be Bruno Mars. Hands down.

And that's so rare now. I think in many cases performers really can't sing or play their instruments well, so they record in a studio with enhancing techniques and real musicians who can actually play. Bands that don't perform live probably have their reasons, and that might be a big one.

He admit he can't top Micheal and Prince, but what he got is something that the 2 kings didn't do, interviews and tv performance... if you listen to interviews of Bruno, its all fun and equally entertaining, interviewer had prepared to read about the topic, but they don't know what it will turn out the interview, and its equally entertaining like his live shows... and something that he intent from the beginning that his mother confirmed, all he wanted is that his concert is to have one big party, forget the problems, let us do things together, sing and dance with him.. and this has not done by any performers, everyone who will watch him is expected to dance and sing with him.. that's make him a legend...
@evolver9996 жыл бұрын
maybe, the reason that he is also emotionally intelligent ( sense of humour is the highest intelligence, and he got that , watch his interviews) is that his upbringing is different from Micheal, he was not force to perform, he loves to perform...and his childhood if happy memories, different from Micheal Jackson, ( i love micheal, but never really happy, at the height of his fame, court cases after court cases, who can be at peace to that) and Bruno went to school like normal kid and finished at least high school, while he still shaping up his identity and still developing his skill in performing and he mingled with regular kids his age ( while mj was isolated , this is why he built neverland for himself) Bruno got all the ingredients to be legend in music in today's generation. I would say, he is emotionally intelligence too, its good that he was caught at the early of his career about cocaine, that is a blessing, otherwise, he is another musician like elvis that died of drugs too. I hope , he won't turn into that, marijuana is now accepted, but must be controlled, and not addicted. It is still possible to achieve fame without sacrificing other things to be happy.
@MrEdongzki6 жыл бұрын
cant beat mj,but i believe he already overtook prince..winning multiple awards in just 8 years..the man is a hybrid of james brown,MJ and prince..he can dance like JB and MJ and can play multiple instruments..can you say JB and MJ can play multiple instruments and can prince dance well like JB and MJ...nah!
@maryejohnson84586 жыл бұрын
"Can't beat" someone is not realistic - I think Michael Jackson was great, but this guy is just starting his career. As "evolver999" said, let's hope he doesn't mess with any more drugs(I would include marijuana, even if it is accepted now by some.) I can name twenty great talents off the top of my head who threw away a happy, successful career by depending on that crap...if you can't perform and create without it, you really should get out of the business. Just MO.
@pockystick85576 жыл бұрын
This is also why he hates it when people tape his shows on their phones and call out the audience a lot of times for doing so. He knows that you cannot fully enjoy something if you're seeing it through a phone screen.
