Had the pleasure of seeing Khruangbin live, Mark's tone was amazing in person. He used the trick at 4:29 with the expression pedal controlling the delay feedback often throughout the show, mostly for transitions, and it was amazing every time, the whole venue was filled with that whirring tape oscillation sound and then he'd pull the repeats back right as the next song started

Interestingly, Ernie Isley knew Hendrix when he was younger. When Jimi played with the Isely Brothers in the mid 60s, he'd hang out at their mom's house. Ernie says he'd watch them rehearse and that Jimi liked watching the Beverly Hillbillys with him. Makes sense when you hear how Ernie played.

He's got some hot rails or something for pickups. Not sure if they're made to sound like single coils with no noise or humbuckers. If they're the traditional hot rails then they're designed to be humbuckers. His middle pickup is single coil though.
