Wish I was there... Why the hell can't I find parties like this, with people dancing free with all body, not taking pics all the time, not just raising hands when the bass drops... Now you have to workout and get muscles (men) and boobs or booty (girls) to show in the party with the body almost naked, while in 90's people didn't give a fuck about that... oh and girls looked so beautiful, natural and sensual without the need to show all his body, just dancing free and smiling!

I already sound like an old codger when i talk about the 90s. In retrospect it was a pivotal time and a lost decade. Once 911 happened the party was over. Everyone knows it. That world is not coming back but that’s probably okay because obviously those people were weak to let in the current ideas we are grappling with. Kind of bitter sweet actually.

@@nickporter574 Yes, this era was something else. There were a lot of changes in many parts of the world but there was so much more freedom as well. In a lot of places, compared to present day. The whole idea of Loverparade in Germany was truly something else. People from different countries, races and sexual preferences got along. Sure, there were loads of ecstacy and cocaine in those parties but the essence of 90´s being the free decade is there, specially compared to the years before and after. We really can´t say that for our present decade, or even the next one. Some might say people just reminiscence of 90s, but still, now we know that economy is changing, our social dynamics is changing and environment is changing and not for the better. In those short years in late 90´s we didn´t have to worry about many of these matters (even if the writing was on the wall), and that era seems much easier now.

Ich war damals auch irgendwo in diesem Pulk unter den ganzen feiernden Jugendlichen heran wachsenden mit meiner Freundin unterwegs. Ich habe die Loveparade 1997, 1998 und 2000 miterlebt. Ich bin dankbar dafür dass ich all diese Menschen sehen durfte und mit ihnen zusammen feiern. Ruhe in Frieden Mark Spoon 😭

I can see their comments all around vids like these, but never imagined it. Now I did try to get into their shoes. They were robbed :( Robbed of good parties without phones, where ppl are free to do what they want without being judged, robbed of good drugs, now they need to fear all the RCs and shit, testing their grade C stuff if they dont want to die, robbed of good present music, forced to go way back to get the real vibes, robbed of their privacy, constantly being filmed and transmited over the social networks, false body images thrown at them all the time... different world, and it came so silently, step by step, to asshole

Hi there, I'm 43 and Will help U to imagine: this was a great time. Parties were really "fun"tastic, 5 days a week to find the most extravagant clothes, the party started from friday evening till monday morning. There, you met people and everybody was talking &dancing together. Deutschland, Belgium & Netherlands were paradise on electro scene. Yes my young friend, it was huge. I remember a party where all the girls were in wedding dress; thousend of crazy "wedding" dancers in the street, it was epic ! Any smartphone, any apps, any photoshopped world, bigger relationship, any virtual and boring life ! Well, hope U enjoyed those few words about that great time...

youre right. i am 17 and from germany and i hate the vibes, the people and the music in the clubs today. Thats the reason why i dont go partying with these people (mainly the youth). I listen to hardcore, uptempo and frenchcore and thats the reason why i go to festivals like syndicate. The people there are just different. everybody is kind and tolerant and i think these are the same vibes like on the parties from the 90s

At the end of the night they asked : "hey guys, what's your plan for tomorrow ?". Us :"nothing special". Them :"we are going to the beach, do you wanna come with us?". Us :"hey, great idea"! And we spent all the Sunday to the beach with perfect strangers. That was the nineties...

Der Sound hat so mega die Bässe gedrückt. Ich war damals 20 und kann das einfach nicht vergessen. Dieses Erlebnis hat sich so dermaßen eingebrannt. Unglaublich.

I’m glad I lived through these times and experienced it, feel kind of sorry for my kids as I really doubt they will ever experience-anything like it, at 15 in the early 90s I was hitting as many illegal raves as I could, with that music totally new it was incredible. First tune carisma was epic

Unfortunately I've never been to the Love Parade. It's sad that (over)commercialism, pretention and corruption has put such a devistating end to a legendary event. And to the lives of 21 partypeople...:-(( A child could see that the sight in Duisburg would be way to small for so many people ! But the organisation and the major still pushed it through, despite all the warnings from safety experts and other cities where the Love Parade was helt the years before.. So the risks were so obvious... Just to put Duisburg on the map...:-( Well, it did.....

+Mworshipper Some Goa dues on the loveparade in Dortmund told me the same - Duisburg won't work. Even Dortmund had over 1,6 million Visitors that day. The town itself hat 600k citizens. BTW Duisburg isnt that nice to party^^
