Invincible Season 2 comes to a close with Episode 8, "I Thought You Were Stronger!" A title named after an iconic moment in the series as Mark's battle vs Angstrom Levy across the multiverse leads to him finally BREAKING as he no longer holds back! Elsewhere, Allen prepares to break out Omni-Man, but Nolan seems ready to face Viltrum's wrath. There's lots to talk about as this episode was absolutely INSANE and had a lot of great moments for the entire Grayson family while also setting up the third season and throwing in fun crossovers like Batman and Great Value Spider-Man! It's actually more detailed here. Go read issue 33. Angstrom is given far more characterization here and so is Debbie. Maybe you mean art wise, tho... we're comparing static images to animation. All that detail has to be animated, which is why animated adaptations can look less detailed. However the show's writing, and events, are actually more fleshed out compared to the comics.

The Batman bit made me chuckle when they did that for the episode, thought that was nice touch without outright saying his name or showing him, to avoid any legal issues. Also, I had no idea Invincible and Spider-Man had a one-shot together, that was neat, and explains why that was a thing for this episode. I just assumed it was just because as popular as the MCU and Marvel is, it would only make sense for a Spider-Man character to have either shown up in the original book or in this show. Never read the book, so i assumed this fight had some similarities to what happened in the comics.

For the viltrimit hypocrisy towards Noland, dont forget, they said that a viltrimite fighting a viltrimite, let alone an execution, has happened since way back when they had their great purge. So yeah, to them they dont really know how to handle it, and personally, I think they did a well way of showing how awkward it is. Between then begging him to put this behind him and to just continue, to the guy not wanting to really hurt his childhood hero, and kregg beating Nolan a bit, it really shows how they know this is what they have to do, but also how weird it is to have to do it.
