When I first became a fan of Southern Gospel Music, I used to always hear other singers talk about how they could sit down with George Younce and Glen Payne and talk for hours and get an encyclopedia of wisdom from them. I think singers today could do the same with Mark Trammell. He's been one of my favorite singers and respected role model for years now. Thanks for a great interview, Matt Fouch.

YEAH, my favorite singer of all genres of music. Saved the best of the MTQ till the last. 1974 I was stationed in Sicily in the USN and was a LT. I have LPs and CDs of Marks work from Kingsmen, Cathedrals, Greater Vision, Gold City and MTT and MTQ. I have had the privilege of hearing him in multiple concerts, I am the tall white haired old lady on the right side of the audience-giggle. My bucket list has two items to go (1) to a NQC and (2) to a Mark Trammel Homecoming...maybe next year. I would also love a DVD of his fainting spell!!! Such an anointed man, sings like an angel and preaches like like God is truly talking through him. Congratulations Matt on the addition to your family!

Matthew, after listening Mark talking about the "quartets" that he sang before, the same history are common to most quartets:they sang with many other quartets in the past. Why is these very common with christian singers, specially quartets ? Guys like Eric from Triumphant, Jeff Chapman, JD Sumner, Tim Duncan, and many others? I have heard about these changes with most of the quartets that I know.

When are you gonna get jay parrack with gold city on the couch is it an impossible interview or something is he a hard man to get a hold of he's the best tenor that ever came along in the southern gospel music field he's the highest you got to get him on the couch man
