Great interview. I had the pleasure of meeting him in '04 in Flint. Gave him a ride to work out at the gym the morning they arrived. Not only was I impressed with how humble he was, but I had a great conversation with him. Class act person, amazing guitarist and musician.

Mark Tremonti is one humble & nice guy because he is one badass guitarist! He has always shined 🌟 I remember him playing them strings with Creed. He is one of the best. My all time favorite, short lived Randy Rhoads 🎸

I think everything said was so spot on. Hearing Mark talk about starting out again after Creed, everyone knew creed and so they paid little attention to the new Alter Bridge. It’s the same way with Adam Gontier and Saint Asonia. I saw AB support Disturbed and Breaking Benjamin, and with them was Saint Asonia. No body listened or cared. Adam was singing his heart out, along with all the other members. I’m not one to knock a band for not being big, I liked em, so I picked up their debut. Now I listen to it quite often. It’s fantastic and now they dropped a new record after all these years. I hope bands push through these barriers because there are vary talented, deserving artists out there we all need to listen to!

I always love watching interviews with Mark! People forget to mention or bring up the fact that Mark is an excellent songwriter and I know he's mentioned that before in past interviews,he said he used to get pissed lol

Why does everyone only associate him with Alter Bridge? They're not that popular or widely known. Not conpared to Creed that is. He's known for being the guitarist in that band.. At least imo he is. Alter Bridge is nothing compared to what he accomplished with Creed. He was the man back then!

I just hate to see it be overshadowed by his other more recent years work. It's almost similar to people looking at Dave Grohl as only a member of Foo Fighters, when really in reality, he made his living and got his name he has today solely due to Nirvana.. And that gets overlooked just as much as Mark with Alter Bridge and Creed. Sorry if that's a poor comparison, it's all I could think of.. But I see both all the time.

Another comparison would be Dave Mustaine being looked at as only Dave from Megadeth.. When a lot of people know him as Dave from Metallica.

@Will G1986 You got some good points there.. You're right.. Mustaine was known for being kicked out of Metallica before they even recorded Kill Em All, or on the day they recorded it iirc. So he wasn't really as involved with the band, but did write a couple of their songs as you said. I never knew anyone actually believed he did Ride the Lightning and other albums after that, lol. Grohl on the other hand was part of Nirvana from Nevermind in 90/91 until the end in '94, and just wasn't involved in their first album Bleach, so ya I guess it's a different comparsion... And I never knew that about Fleetwood Mac, good info.
