i'm in love with this song. i think it's the best song i've ever listened in my life, but i dunno why!! it's like it makes me remember places i've never visited, facts never happened, people never met. i feel a sweet, pleasant melancholy of distant lands.

Have to agree with Mike Finnegan and Nikko Pando. The music is ... magic. Even if you are a Norte Americano who has no Spanish and has never listened to these instruments before. Many first heard Andean music through the group Savia Andina. They toured college campuses in the 1980s. Markahuasi plays in the same genre but their sound is ... perhaps a bit faster paced? It reaches American ears more directly, in my opinion. Other musicians to consider watching for if you love Markahuasi: Carlos Rene Crespo, Ancient Winds, K'antu

Yes, they played there in the early to mid 90s. This song was recorded for their last album in 1994 but they probably performed it earlier since it’s not their original composition.
