160 MPH ON THE GERMAN AUTOBAHN - American's First Impressions
This was our first time in Germany... and fortunately for us, our friend picked us up in his Porsche and took us for a ride on the German Autobahn. As soon as we found a strip with no speed limit he let it rip and hit nearly 260 km/h which is about 160 mph!

Well i never traveled to america, but i think its harder to implement those things in a country 30 times as big as Germany. I mean, when i left my village i drive 2min to reach the next village ore city... Furthermore in America 33 people live on 1km². In Germany there are 232 on 1km². With those facts its quite understandable. :)

The video shows quite well the common practice on the autobahn: going very fast is mainly to have some fun but as you see most traffic (though on average a bit faster than other contries) goes much slower and regularly blocks your left lane. And there are zillions of roadworks slowing you down. So unless the road is really very calm like in evening, doing these 'fast sprints' in between on average don't really reduce your travel time. But still its cool to do. BTW, Badenweiler sounds familiar, don't they have a prussian march named after it..?

Probably no more dangerous than Germans doing 160 mph on the Autobahn, my friend. I hate it to drive a car on the interstate „Autobahn“ in Germany. I wish we had the same rules as in the US. Driving in the U.S. is so much less dangerous and more relaxed

There are some castles and palaces in Germany built in the 19th century by nobles and new rich. Like castle new Schwanenstein. And they are all not authentic, but look more like a Hollywood backdrop or like a theme park. As an example from the reality, the castle Els in the Eifel is very beautiful and authentic.

Fortunately, this crazy frenzy through this energy crisis will soon come to an end. It won't be long before Germany also has a speed limit

As a citizen of Baden Würtemberg i need to object! In reality all of the regions of germany are kinda unique. It's only 150 years since germany's birth, so every region has a history of its own. There is really no "typical" germany.

It‘s always the same shit. Not trained about driving fast and the traffic rules they come here to play on a big racing area. It‘s absolut time for a speed limit here.
