Sweet!!!! They’re a great bookshelf. Best I’ve heard this year under $2000 a pair. That Mark Audio driver is in quite a few Uber expensive speakers and used by a LOT of manufacturers in the industry. Paired with a good sub, or even stand alone, these can EASILY, be end game for more than a few… 😉😊. Congrats, happy holidays, and I’ll get them headed your way this week. I build speakers and if there is not enough bass, the treble can sound sibilant. But if I bring in more woofer level that sibilance can go away. And too much woofer can even drown out the treble, somewhat. Also I hand pumped a well used woofer and hand pumped an identical brand new exact same driver and it was 3 times harder to hand pump (and having less bass response when new). That said, I have a theory with your speakers. The sibilance might be caused by less bass response of your new speakers. But bass gradually increases as you use them, balancing the treble level better (for you, but not for him). After my woofer pumping comparison test I am convinced that speaker break-in is a thing. 😅
