Brilliant video. Thank you for the very clear and informative demonstration. Got a hot water going cold while running the bath and had several engineers scratching their head over this. Will be watching again.

Great video Mark. Have already sent some beer money. I tried to get the alternative Brittherrm pump instead of spending £300 on the new one and cable. Unfortunately the stockist told me that Birttherm had discontinued them (under pressure from Grundfos). However, I got another from HTS that is made by Duca for £60. I was very sceptical it would work as the diameter of the inner impeller ring is about 10 mm wider on the new pump than the old one and the screws it came with were the wrong size. However, I used the screws from the old pump and it's working perfectly. Saved me hundreds of pounds. Thank you !

Brilliant video Mark.I had water dripping from the Vaillant EcoTec plus 831 boiler (Wife put heating on yesterday) and traced it to top of the pump.Tray was full of water and after watching the video you made a vital comment about the automatic air valve on top of the pump.That’s where the water was leaking so I tightened it by hand and I’m hoping that has cured the leak ! There is no water leaking as I write so fingers crossed. Many thanks.😊

Same thing happened to me - been looking online too see if closing it is safe to do - getting mixed feedback. Have you had any issues?

Excellent and very informative for trained and experienced as well as trainees I would advise removal of RHS panel only two screws to make life easier for access Also a rag or old towel in bottom to soak up water upon opening components such as pump flow sensor etc Thanks for your efforts in making these videos and advise on compatible pump heads

Hi Mark. If I use the Brittherm head as a replacement. What pump speed setting should I put it on so that it works as close to the set circulating speed of the original. Great video. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for this good tutorial. Do you not need to do a boiler purge after repressuring.

Hi Mark,Great Video. Does the replacement pump head fit a Vaillant EcoTec plus 837 combi boiler

Thx for the video. I had my pump replaced by my plumber at the end of last year. Since then, i replaced the sensor. I did a powerflush myself but I still cant get all 10 radiators in the house to warm up. Can do one by one or like 5 at the same time but not all of them. Is it possible they fitted the wrong pump?

Hi Mark, cracking video. Can you use the Brit therm pump head rather than replacing the who Vaillant pump ?

Hi Mark - My pump is the Upm2 15-60 VP6. It doesnt have a capacitor similar to the one on your video but an eletrical board inside. What is the procedure for this one and can the one i have easily be replaced with the VP4 or similar? Kind regards Patrick

Ciao, But it is any video how to clean those pump for maintenance??
@djsmokinj9 ай бұрын
Shouldn't you have it in p6 and charge the vessel before removing the pump just incase its holding water?..

And what when my pump is still running but it makes a 2 or 3 times per second ticking sound?
@MaciejGasiorowski-z8t11 ай бұрын
But how would you know if it’s only the capacitor that’s faulty? I thought you would have included the fault finding in the video?
