Ace slow mo jumps and really nice drifts too! This is exactly how I wanted my Brat to go back when I was a kid running nicads (and four AAs)... apart from the three-wheeling, obviously!

Hi Steve and many thanks. It was fun out there but very tricky to hold in a drift on that gravel. I didn't even know if Tamiya RC existed when I was a kid (it was the 60's so that's a "no" then!) Glad I found Tamiya in the 80's though! Bet you had tons of fun with your Brat back then. Definitely drives better with all 4 wheels attached. Cheers!

Hi Mark nice vids and this will be my first comment here. I notice that people don’t seem to know that with the ORV chassis, its a bit of pot luck whether or not the front wheel - one or both - will come off. There is actually a good fix I use. First take off the wheel nut so you have just the front axle. There is the bit attached to the wheel part A lets call it, and part B the bit attached to the chassis. Now get some motor cleaner spray - this part is super important - and with also clean hands (we dont want oil, grease, dirt) clean part A and part B. Now I use red loctite Gel and put a decent amount inside the hole on the chassis or Part B. Carefully with a small hammer, bang part A back into place. Carefully it does not need much of a hit. Let this dry best for two days. It will be much stronger than the original setup and should not fall apart again. I hope this helps out and saves a few bucks.

Hiya Mark. Ooh lovely stuff mate. Really good tracking shots and that lump was perfect for launching your Brat. Was that you running with the camera? As you know I like to add fast motors to my Tamiyas but I've left my Brat as brushed and it's perfect for smaller spaces like the garden. I saw the description and was wondering if the problem you had was the same as I had and I think it was. On mine the axle didn't break but it came out of the upright. I put a bit of threadlock on and pushed it back in with mole grips. Apart from that it's a reliable little RC. Hope your weekend is off to a good start. Crap weather forecast which is a shame as there is a music festival going on that we were going to go to. Indoor fixing RC's instead I think. Cheers for now mate 😁👍👍

Hi there! Well, I'd start off cheap and easy and see how it goes. A Neo Scorcher kit running a Hobbywing 1060 ESC and an Absima Thrust Eco 15T or Core RC 15T should give you a great turn of speed for only a little money!

No worries! I'd definitely fit ball bearings to replace the plastic bushings and the turnbuckle set is also worth getting. Other than that, maybe a metal propshaft, but you can keep spending and spending as there are so many hop-ups available for this kit!
