I did forget about the upper Arms!!! 😲 I've got 3 and 4mm All-Thread and Rod Ends... THAT will be next. 👍👍 Thanks Mukka!!

Right on, Carmine! Those upper arms need YOUR attention! Those all-threads will be a perfect fix, and the negative camber will be done! All buggies need a bit of TLC, and I'm sure yours will have plenty of it! All the best, my mate! :O)

Me Mukka, attention she will get!! I'm thinking about getting another DT-02, Lexan Bodied Buggy... Sure the DT-03 is better spec - but the -02 would make a great budget Buggy Build!! Again on the expensive side, I'm also planning on a "semi restoration" of my 1983 RC10 Gold Pan Buggy!! The Chassis is far too tore up to try to make a profitable restoration... But that's OK, it's my 38 Year Old Buggy, that I Raced a lot, and has a lot of memories. It will be the World's most valuable BEATER Buggy!!! 😜 I couldn't sell it when I was hungry - I'm sure not selling her now! Take good care my Brother!!

@@CarminesRCTipsandTricks Hi mate - the 02 sure is a great budget buggy, as is the 03!!! The Gold Pan will be a perfect platform for the re-launched channel - I'm sure such a loved buggy will get a few views, and a cool back story makes it even more noteworthy! Never even think of parting with that one, buddy! :-)

Many thanks for the good comments - check out the turf ripper tyres - they are excellent - I paid about £6 a pair!!!

Nice (again). My Sand Viper didn’t come with those rod ends.

Cheers Mikael (again!) Hmmm - that's strange, I thought all Sand Vipers come with the bearings, oil shocks and turnbuckles? Maybe there is a UK version. :)
@NordicRC5 жыл бұрын
Mark Bryan RC Both the Sand Viper and Desert Gator should do, yes. Top-of-the-line DT buggies. I was just referring to the type of plastic ball ends (or what they are called in English). Mine look different. Maybe I installed the wrong ones 😄
@MarkBryanRC5 жыл бұрын
Ahh - I see, different ball-ends. Now that is very strange. I doubt very much that you fitted the wrong ones! :)

Hi Mark, I just bought a Tamiya Holiday Buggy which is also a DT02 chassis. I'm kind of struggle with the turning radius or the steering things. I see in this video (0:21) when you easily turn your front wheel with AWESOME turning radius. So, I want to ask some question for you: 1) Did you also modify your stock servo saver or other steering parts such as servo or anything? 2) what servo do you use? 3) what type of the battery you use. I'm waiting for your answer Mark. Thank you.
@MarkBryanRC6 жыл бұрын
Hi Pipit - I would be glad to answer your questions! 1) The servo saver is stock and not modified. All steering parts are stock as came with the kit. 2) The servo is a standard Carson 3kg servo. 3) I use many different types of 7.2v NiMh - my favourite is the Turnigy 3000Mah NiMh I am sure that the holiday buggy chassis is exactly the same as my DT02 cars you see in the video - the steering setup is the same, and the only thing that should limit the steering radius is the plastic stopper on the front uprights (the white plastic parts the wheels attach to that turn, connected to the steering rods). I can only think that it is your servo that is restricting the turning radius if everything else on your car is standard. I hope this helps - let me know how you get on! :-)

@@MarkBryanRC Wow...thanks for the fast respond and for the answer. I use 20kg PowerHD servo, maybe it has big torque but less responsive time turning or like you said it maybe have a limitation on turning. I have to check it again. Thanks Mark.
@MarkBryanRC6 жыл бұрын
You are very welcome! It is worth looking at, try taking off the servo saver and see if the wheels turn a tighter radius without it fitted - if it doesn't - there must be something wrong with the mechanical steering setup!

Hi Mark ,are those the 2wd or 4wd version of the front fastrax turf ripper ?only asking as I know the viper front rims are not that thin, cheers
@MarkBryanRC4 жыл бұрын
You are correct, Nick - the Viper fronts need the 4WD Turf rippers - the Super Fighter narrow rims need the 2WD fronts - all the best my friend! :)

Hi Mark - hope you’re keeping well. I’m a bit late to the party on this - just got a sand viper and was really disappointed with the tun in - MASSIVE turning circle, and the thing just runs wide. Looks like the 4wd turf ripper front tyres are the way forwards (I run mostly on grass). I’ve fitted a super stock bz - and hobbywing esc (although note you say the tble2 will be fine!). Looks like a strut brace is required and maybe an aluminium wing while I’m there! I might clean out the cera grease I used in the diff and use awg instead… Great series of videos in the dt02 - so thank you for putting all this stuff up. Hopefully I can enjoy the car now - as was really disappointed with it’s inability to turn tightly.
