I love Ping Fairway Woods. I have the Ping G 410 in 3,5 , 7 Woods in the SFT version. . Well made and great woods.

I absolutely love this test. It's so close to simulated golf and so much more helpful to understand what can be done on the course! Interesting too to see the styles of golf and how it affects a decision. I'm a "whack away" type of guy, but it gives me pause to think about things I need to consider practicing more! Thanks Mark!!!

Yes, I was thinking exactly the same thing! I'm always keen to know what performance data one can get from a new club, rather than understanding how it could work for my game (hope that makes sense). This review has really got me thinking..... Why do I have that club in my bag? Hmmmm

I like the looks of both. I have an Adams Tightlies that resembles them. I like a lower profile club I can hit off a fairway.

Yeah the Adams tight lies titanium in 13.5 is my favorite fairway. I run to it like Stenson all the time. Don’t even use a tee peg.

Hopefully the faces are better than the PING G400. I cracked TWO within ten days. High swing speed here but still. Ping replaced the first one and I cracked the second on the range within 2 days. Completely insane.
@biggregsparks83644 жыл бұрын
If your ball speed is below 160 with your 3 wood, stick with the standard one. No need for less spin. My spin rate is over 4000 rpm and I game the ping 410 lst. Ball speed is 165 average.

Could you make a chart with the summary statistics? The video is nice and all, but showing data is the most valuable thing. What you guys typically show is a bad resolution of another screen. It would be a lot better.

I once bought the g25 hybrid. It was so closed i never got comfrtable with it. Sold it to a guy who struggled with a "powerfade" as he hit it dead straight;) no more ping for me ever again.
@sting51120025 жыл бұрын
morten lothe the new Ping G410 hybrids are adjustable and you can actually make the lie flat so it won’t look closed. You should test them out...you’ll be pleasantly surprised

Struggled with a power fade or a horrible slice? There are pros that practice for years to develop a power fade. Anyways I have Ping G hybrids and a fairway and they don't look closed to me at all.

Mark, You say you are a low spinner.. Is that through your presented spin loft or strike point( On the higher side)
@craigtalbot93165 жыл бұрын
Mark, would u be an advocate for taking fairway wood out altogether and going with a low loft hybrid instead? I would always hit driver over 3 wood off tee as I'm more comfortable, but I find 3 wood being used less and less, would a hybrid be more useful?

Great video. Mark, can you explain your comment about why a wild tee shot player should run to the LS? Cheers bruh!
@joshleech81465 жыл бұрын
Peter Rafano - someone wild off the tee generally puts a lot of axis tilt or “side spin” on the ball. This can send the ball all over the place. Lower spin means more stable ball flight.
@SCDrJ035 жыл бұрын
Doesn’t more backspin and loft protect against excessive sidespin not the other way around??

All this talk about the "club pointing left"...exactly why there is the toe down setting, or you start with the 17.5 and take 1.5 degrees off it an get the face extremely open. There isn't a better club on the market right now that can be set up open at address.
@mctayto15 жыл бұрын
Considering you are 3 Pro's then I would have expected much more control during the competition. Seemed that even Mr consistent couldn't control the direction or carry - so not a good sign for the amateur needing control.
@Ryan-fx7jx5 жыл бұрын
The thing was 14.5 degrees. No one but tour pros can control that well off the deck
@mctayto15 жыл бұрын
Mine is 15 degree and I can choose between draw, straight and fade from the deck. My carry distance is determined by shot shape and length of swing. My carry would be around 20-30yds shorter than them. I strongly believe that they should have had better results.
