Been playing with mine for a year now and can’t say enough how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE this thing!!! I play very hilly courses and I’m 66. Just got to be too much, especially on hot days when pushing up hills. Not that I couldn’t, but it takes a bit away from your game. This was a game changer out on course. I can really focus on my game. Another thing, I can load my bag up with drinks, snacks, extra gear I may need, all without concern for having a heavy bag to manually push around the course. Another benefit is on days when it’s “cart path only” I still get to use this on the fairways instead of parking on the path, estimating which club is needed for the shot and then walking out and back on the course. Having my bag right there allows me to get yardage and always choose the proper club for the shot. Note; I drive a large SUV and don’t need to remove the rear drive unit when getting it in and out. Just fold the top handle down and it slides right in. I just charge it while it’s in my garage without even taking it out.

Bought mine two seasons ago when I saw a KZbin video explaining the product. After I bought mine others on the course I am a member saw me using it and they stopped me to ask questions. Since then there are now 10 others and growing weekly. I was the second person to have a remote control hand cart. Now there are over 25 members walking instead of riding. I am a H.S. Golf Coach in N.J. and a senior citizen which means I am on the course almost every day. This has helped to make playing so much easier and more enjoyable. I have also lost 30 lbs by not riding when I play. I highly recommend this product

I have had an Alphard V2 for 2-1/2 years, originally with a ClicGear 3.0 cart and the last half year with an Alphard OmniCart. At age 82, this is keeping me on the course. I love walking golf, and not so much riding golf. Great review! Only one thing I feel the need to challenge. You say there are 5 pieces to keep track of, and that is the correct number. You point it out as a minor disadvantage, but I consider it a major advantage. As you point out, much of the weight is in the motor-wheels unit, and this part has a handle and is in fact compact rather than clumsy. That means: (1) It is a lot less strain to lift it in and out of the car. You gloss over this. I'm old, with a bad back, and consider it a major advantage over all-in-one carts. (2) Because it breaks into several pieces, it can be maneuvered and fitted into the trunk (the boot, as you would say) of even a compact car -- and still leave room for my bag and clubs. These were as much a selling point as the price, at least for me. Yes, I'd prefer if those two anti-tip wheels were not separate pieces, but that is a very minor quibble. With almost three years on it, I like it enough that I would do it again if I had a choice to make.

I'm a 'senior golfer', but not quite ready for an electric trolley. Pushing a trolley isn't yet physically demanding enough to justify one. Besides, I see so many 'old folks' struggling to get their all-in-one motorised trolley into the boot, it has dissuaded me from considering one. But when I do, this one looks to be the bees’ knees. I think the component factor, and therefore greater ease getting it in and out of the car, is the Alphard's primary advantage, and does make it quite appealing. Yes, I have an indoor home sim. Yes, a video (or several) on purchasing - components or package deals, would make good content. The most common questions asked about them on-line are: The pros and cons of radar vs photometric launch monitors, The space requirements for each, Net and monitor vs screen and projector, The best type and size of screen The best projector (no one understand ‘throw’ and aspect ratio) What flooring (and how much) should they use, Which sim software to use, and What the best low-budget setup (or minimum required for a functional sim).

Spot on! This was my motivation when I got mine -- even more than the price. I'm senior, too, and with a bad back. The V2 was my present to myself for my 80th birthday. That was 2-1/2 years ago, and I'm still walking the course.

I have a Clickgear 3.5 and bought this and converted it into an electric cart. Best decision I made.. The only thing I would say would be that before you install the brackets onto your pull cart, test fit them onto the Alphard. I found out that the brackets needed adjustments and you cannot make them when they are on your cart. But overall, I really enjoy using it. If you love walking 9 or even 18 holes of golf, this is a must have!!

I've been using the v2 for 2 1/2 years it's been great. The battery is good for 27 holes, I made it through 34 before it died on courses with a fair amount of elevation changes. I bought a second battery to get through 36 holes and I use the CB sidekick for the auto follow function. Works great, almost like having a real caddie.

Had the V2 for about a year. I paid $99 extra and got the "follow" device. A small line clips to your belt, then the trolley follows you at about 3metres behind. Leaves your hands free and you don't have to think about steering. It goes wherever you go. The belt clip in magnetic so when you get to your ball you just unclip. The line winds itself back into its gizmo. You play your shot, then pop the line back on your belt. I am amazed they didn't send one to Mark. And yes, after owning one for 12 months I can totally recommend it. Cheers from Oz 🇦🇺

First off, love your video's Mark. They are all well done, and you tell it like it is. As for the V2, I love it! I bought my wife one for Christmas this past year, as I already had an MGI ZIP Navigator, which I really liked. After putting together the wife's buggy and test driving it, I found that I liked it better than the MGI. It handled just as good as the MGI, was easier to carry around, and was more stable due to the wider wheel base. So I ditched the MGI and purchased the V2, which was about $1000 USD cheaper then the MGI, and that was WITH the cart and wheels combined (thank you Cyber Monday and Amazon!). Anyway, our home course in Southern California is super hilly and long. My main issue with the MGI is it would tip over sideways from time to time if i wasn't constantly monitoring it. I had to be super careful. With the V2 those issues are gone. I can drive it sideways on hills and have zero problems. Also, we have some steep goat trails (basically shortcuts) at my course. The V2 takes them like a champ! Bottom line, for the money you can't go wrong with the V2. Cheers!

I've got a non foldable electric trolley I have to assemble every time, very easy setup though. The advantage is that I can place parts in places that don't interfere with storage space in my work car. For the Alphard it somehow feels like the pushcart part is quite bulky so it's a bit of a in beetween where you both lose in practicality and space. I wish they can partner with Kaddey and come up with an even smarter setup
@davetutelman

Gotta disagree. The two main units with the Alphard (the wheel-motor unit and the cart itself) are compact enough that I was able to fit the whole thing (broken down, of course) along with my bag and clubs in the trunk of a 1998 Corolla (my car when I first bought it). No all-in-one at the time could do that.

It is a little bit of a faf every time you get to the course relative to other electric trolleys I’ve had other electric trolleys/karts (Go Kart). It is without doubt the best piece of golf equipment I’ve ever bought and the only piece of golf equipment I’ve bought that does what it’s supposed to do 😂.

@davetutelman 16 күн бұрын
@@mikelhenaff110, I don't know. Never tried hanging a cooler from my cart when I pushed it by hand, and haven't taken it up since I got the V2. If it hangs from a typical push cart like a ClicGear, I don't see why it wouldn't work. In fact, if you get the V2 and the adapter brackets for your current cart, it should work the same as your current cart. The only difference I see is going up a steep hill; the cooler might make it overbalance backwards. That's the same as would happen currently -- but you curently have your hand on the handle to keep it upright. With the V2, you depend on the anti-tip wheels.

Interesting. But do you guys know of a electric trolley which doesn't drive its own with a remote but rather assists you with pushing, kind of like a electric bike? So you still push it and steer it, but the motor assists you so you only have to push very lightly for hills etc. Is something like this around? I don't want to drive my bag like a rc car, i just want "no" resistance when pushing.

Do you know the term "butt dialing" as applied to a phone. It is possible (I have done it) to butt dial your V2, while you are on the green with the remote in your pocket. Actually, the remote has a feature to prevent this; a button deactivates the remote until you push it again. I just never got used to leaving it on "deactivate". He makes some solid points but poorly detailed and exaggerated. Using this does take more space and is harder to fit in a sedan compared to my compact SUV, so it is something to consider. It does cost quite a bit and depending on how much you play, it may not pay for itself. I was a kickstarter contributor and in 4 years, I've used it only like 30-40 times. Likely saving only 10-15 USD walking each time and I paid only $500 for mine. Mostly due to one of my golf groups always ride so I can't walk or else I won't keep up. The battery shelf life is 2 years expected before cells start going bad. I've already had to buy another battery which costs an additional $180. Then while his comment about health is wrong, walking is better for your health, walking with an electric cart is not as good for your health if you were to push the cart or carry it. There has been information out there already on body strain regarding this and I am noticeably more "fresh" using this compared to when I was pushing a cart (still better for your health than riding though).
