I never update firmware with just released version. I waited to update my 7300 . I want to know about possible problems before I do. Radio was out of warranty years ago. Been so many bad updates lately. and not just ham radio related. 73

Shouldn't they create a basic test loop before updating or flashing the softwares upgrade? if (current version == update version) { exit updater; return 0; ) This is exactly why I did not buy the X6200. It's almost as if they're severely constrained in their ability to QC anything before releasing it to the public, and the end user has to face the loss of time while they wait for corrective procedures to make their equipment functional again. Regardless, love your content and thank you again for your work.

I am right there with you on that - I don't mind the "re-write" option as it has helped in the past... I feel like there are enough of us out there that would voluntarily test firmware before it was release (like me for example)... but they haven't accepted my offer to date. :man_shrugging:

@@temporarilyoffline 100% It could perform that test and with it a condition in which you could ignore the warning and continue, you are correct there are times that something corrupted somehow and a reinstallation was a viable repair.

The only problem with "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" is that they weren't just fixing bugs. Who doesn't want shiny new features? :)
