I love your video. I am a new subscriber. Thank You for your advice. I had the Bose QC45 and now have the Beats Studio Pro. I tested the Beats Studio Pro and The Bose QC 45's on my android phone, Apple Ipad 10th Generation, My PC, My TV's (Roku and Fire TV). The Beats Studio Pro's were much faster (Instantly) to pair and I was seemlessly switching between 4 devices. The Bose QC 45's were a pain in the tuchus to switch between devices. In US Dollars the best price on the Beats Studio Pro is $180. The Bose Q45's are $228 This price difference is a MAJOR Factor to me. There is an option on the Beats Studio Pro to have the Noise Cancelation off or On. That is important because without the Noise Cancelation the Beats Studio Pro Battery Life is 40 Hours. When I need the noise canceling on, I turn it on, this gives a lot of flexibility in regard to battery efficiency. Why drain the batter with ANC when I dont need to which is most of the time.The Bose at best can get 25 hours. I used them for approximatley 2 hours and the Bose QC 45 went from 60% to 40%. The Beats Studio Pro I used for 2 Hours and it was 100% to 90%. That is a MAJOR Factor. 40 Hours Battery of 25 Hours Battery is HUGE. There is also a MAJOR diffence in the time it takes for pairing. (Almost instantly with the Beats Studio Pro) (The Bose QC 45's take more than a minute). When switching devices on my android I power up the Beats Studio Pro and its instantly connected. The Bose QC 45's take at minimum 30 seconds. This is a major difference to me. The Beats Studio Pro were easy to put in its case, I had a hard time getting the Bose QC 45's into the case. The Beats Studio Pro has Dolby Atmos (Multi Channel Surround Sound) The Bose QC 45's do not have Dolby Atmos. Another reason I switched is because of Apple Care for 1 year comes with the Beats Studio Pro. The Bose come with a 1 year Warranty, but it is not nearly as convieniant as an Apple product. You can bring The Beats Studio Pro to any Apple Store. Another major factor is the Bose Q45 came out 2021 roughly 3 years ago. The Beats Studio Pro came out July 2023 6 months ago. The Beats Studio Pro is the latest from Beats and The Bose QC Ultra is the latest from Bose. The Studio Pro is $180 and it was $349 and the Bose Q45's are $229 and regularly $329. Another Major difference is the Beats Studio Pro's have the Latest Bluetooth technology (5.3) The Bose QC 45's have the Bluetooth version 5.1. Google to see the difference between Bluetooth 5.1 and 5.3. Bluetooth 5.3 is FASTER, more STABLE, Capable of more Codecs for high frequency sound. The Bose QC Ultra is $379 and they are the lastest and the greatest from Bose. They are better than the The Bose QC 45's and the Beats Studio Pro's. I will take the Beats Studio Pro because of the value. Spending $180 and Spending $379 is a huge difference to me. The Studio Pro's still have a MAJOR edge over the New Bose QC Ultra, the battery life on the Beats Studio Pro is 40 hours and the Bose QC Ultra is 25 Hours.Another factor is the "Find My" capabilities of the Beats. It has rescued me a few times, where if I had another brand they would have been lost.

I have the Beats Studio Pro and enjoy the ability to listen to Lossless Apple Music via the USB-C connection. One negative I can share is that after a short period of time it feels like my ears are getting warm and there is sweat that I feel should not be there after a short duration. Not sure if others experience that when using the Beats Studio Pro. Great job with the comparison. I also want to say that consumers can regularly find the Beats for about $180 since there are ongoing sales. So don't pay full price. Find the sale and enjoy!

I tried both QC45 and Beats Studio Pro. Two major issues that made me stick with QC45: 1) lack of multi-point connectivity in Studio pro. I was unable to seamlessly switch between my office work laptop which is a mac and my android (pixel) phone. I see that Mark said it has multipoint connectivity but even Beats customer service told they dont have multi-point but they can work across MacOS and iOS devices or csn work across Android and Chromebooks. Trust me, i tested this extensively. There is no true multi-point connectivity like QC45. 2) the earcups feel like on ear rather than around the ear (this is purely the shape of my ears as they stick out a lot). QC45 wraps around my ears so well and very comfortable The last one - the controls on the QC45 are less intrusive with the experience. Having tbe control right at the center of the ear cup makes the experience a bit more intrusive.

I've mentioned this in a few spots, so I'm sorry for the repeat comment, but I've been on a bit of an OCD Over the Ear Headphones kick since maybe June. I've purchased 11 sets to enjoy what they do best in their respective categories. Some I use just for the gym, so those are either sweat resistant or, I just care about the cans a little less, so I'm not terribly upset if they don't last forever since I'm going to sweat in them (looking at you Beats Studio 3 and JBL LIVE 660). Some I use for heavy bass music, some for hard rock/metal and so on. It's been a fun little journey to say the least. Now, fast forward to a few days ago. I finally broke down and added the Bose QC45 to my arsenal. I only delayed getting them because all reviews said they don't have great sound quality. Well, I beg to differ. I'm sitting here baffled by how much I love the sound of these after simply bumping the EQ to +8, +2, +6. I haven't played with the EQ anymore than that, so they might be tuned even better, who knows? But what this tells me is, sound is very personal. The more I watch reviews and test my 11 cans out, the more I see that different people like different sounds and that's GREAT. Perhaps it's that I'm old, I'm 47 so maybe I don't hear certain things anymore or I hear it differently. But, the sound on these Bose QC45 sounds so full to me. The bass hits to where you can definitely bang your head a bit, but without drowning anything else out. Actually, I feel like I hear mids and highs so well in these compared to some of my other headsets. They are simply great! Hearing that some people like the Beats Studio Pros more certainly peaks my interest. Also, Sony X5s will need to be checked out, but I've stayed away because I don't love touch controls. And now, I'm hearing Bose QC45 Elite or Deluxe or whatever they are calling them will be on the horizon. Bottom line is, this is a good time to be into over the ear headphones. Great video as always.

I find QC45 has slight better performance in noise cancellation than QC35 although I find both still serve purpose of being good ANC headphone. Also, QC45 has USB C charging port which means i can use single cable for both charging phone and QC45. Your case is bit different as yours is QC35 ii which is later generation than QC35. I suggest you try yourself QC45 at Bose store and compare both audio and comfort level on your ear before making a purchase decisions. TL;Dr: they’re both amazing I bought the studio pros a couple of weeks ago and unfortunately I had to return them because my ears are quite spread out and I use glasses so the shallow ear cups really pressed against my head and frames. Sound wise though, they were fantastic! A bit too harsh on the up end for my liking but that bass made everything come to life effortlessly. Ended up getting QC 45s because of the comfort aspect and I don’t have anything bad to say about them either. Pretty comparable even though the sound signatures are a bit different. Both are great cancelling out noise and providing with very very nice sound performance. I like the warmer sound of the Bose slightly better, and I like that you can tune a bit more of the EQ on the app. When it comes to choosing between both its really just a matter of how big your head is and how your ears are shaped because going with either won’t disappoint!

@@MarkEllisReviews I'm not sure if you utilize user comments when doing research for future videos, but wanted to pass along an update after I was sure I would like the Beats over the Bose headphones in hopes that it might help someone. I tried the Beats Studio Pro and a couple of days later I went to buy the QC45s for comparison. Turns out the QC45s are lighter and more comfortable, and honestly, I liked the way they folded and stored better than the Beats. The Beats were also somewhat tight on my head, and since I will be taking a two week trip to Europe here soon, I am choosing the comfort of the Bose QC45s for the long plane ride - unless, of course, I go a little nutty and want to throw in a third set of headphones for comparison. Sound quality was about the same for me, and sound quality didn't matter to my wife, but she also agreed that the Bose were a lot more comfortable and also elected to exchange the Beats for the Bose. Like me, she thought the Beats were good, but the Bose won out for comfort. I tried my personal Bose QC35s vs a borrowed Beats Studio Pro, and even though I enjoyed the Studio Pros, mainly due to their easy connectivity to my other Apple products, the Studio Pros seemed to hurt after a short while of listening, probably a bit too loudly, not physically., but just the uncomfortable inside the ear feeling one gets when keeping headphones on too long. Since the QC45's are on sale $50 off, and the Studio Pros $100 off, I'm wondering if I should consider upgrading my QC35s, which I really like, with the QC45's, or go for the Studio Pros. I am really enjoying my time with the new Beats. Hip-Hop and EDM fans may prefer Sony cans ironically, Beats have certainly evolved their sound. These are much brighter and balanced cans than we expect from Beats. But they perform beautifully for more analytical music. I pair these with my Sony XM4's for when I need more thump and fun. The only major issue I have with build, is that they really do not pair well with glasses (at least for me). I have heard others say this. Apple have made the Airpods Max redundant with these feature rich cans. And they don't come with a mandatory bra for storage. All of this said, I still maintain that the single best OTE NC headphone is the Sennheiser Momentum 4. Which satisfy both the need for both exciting low end and analytical mids and highs. The Momentum 4 remain my daily driver and my go to cans for referral. I can get incredibly boring about the Momentum 4's. The only way I can explain it is that music has a shape, feel, overall character beyond frequency / EQ alone, I think its Timbre. Physical controls are certaily preferred to touch, and Sennheiser sadly remain touch focused, but the sound quality alone elevates these cans above all others.

One thing I think people enamored of tech have in common is a fickle personality. I own several headphones purchased in various moments of madness. What I have found is that I like to move from one to the other when I get bored. I would have to say that the Bose are a set that I go back to most often. They are an old reliable. I even go back to my Sony XM4’s, which if memory serves was your favorite set of headphones not too long ago, including their case. Nowadays, I am waiting for the perfect set of headphones to come out. They would have to have great sound, great battery life, a water resistant rating, and perfect to use on phone calls in all sorts of conditions. Noise cancelling goes without saying. Comfort is also a must have, including staying cool around the ear on warm days. I do not work out, so that is not an issue for me. Price is negotiable if all of my terms are met. The Beats sound like a rehash of what I already have.

I just bought the qc45 one week ago. Is it normal to have a slight hissing/buzzing noise in the left ear?

Nope.

What happened to the Hinomi H1 Pro Ergonomic Chair you were using and reviewed in that room you are sitting in? You said it improved your health so why did you stop using it?
@MarkEllisReviews Жыл бұрын
Why do you think I’ve stopped using it?! It’s in my studio and used every day - because it’s awesome.
@hunter4real Жыл бұрын
Because I don't see it in this video. The desk you are sitting at used to have the Hinomi H1 Pro Ergonomic Chair but now it is a different chair hence the question. Did you move it from the desk you use everyday and if so, why?
@MarkEllisReviews Жыл бұрын
@@hunter4real my 16-inch MacBook Pro isn’t in this video either. Did you assume I’d stopped using that as well? I have three desks in my studio - the Hinomi is at the desk at which I spend 90% of my working life. The black chair is what I often use for shooting a-roll. Is this starting to make sense?
@hunter4real Жыл бұрын
I noticed that the chair in this video looks awfully familiar like the MARKUS office chair from IKEA. Did some research and it seems like a really good budget office chair. I then went to IKEA to try it out and it felt really great so I just had to buy it since it is half the price of the Hinomi H1 Pro Ergonomic Chair. I've been looking at office chairs for a while now and had a hard time deciding which one to get, thanks for helping me out in choosing a good chair! @@MarkEllisReviews

@@MarkEllisReviewsi have and the beats have overpowered bass and doesn't have nowhere near as good as a finely tuned Soundstage as the bose. Much more of a flat and balanced Soundstage that i prefer vs the emphasized low frequency of the beats which i find too artificial. To each their own .
@Whoopie2016 Жыл бұрын
@@MarkEllisReviewsI have both and I agree with mbs but yea beats has spacial audio and Dolby Atmos but Bose still has a wider soundstage and has custom equalizer more comfortable than Beats Studio pro for more longer use

The V sound signature of the Beats Studio pro is awful. The top end is attenuated and the bottom end is muddy. And that’s coming a person that likes base. I wanted some rock out head phones for the gym but these beats are just bad. Returned

The Beats case is awful, and after 3 days of use (my best friend bought them) they’re definitely not better than bose qc45 nor sony xm4. I did think that some of your point are relative and sometimes exagerated.
