I was in monk mode during the first quarter of the year. Towards the end of it, i convinced myself that i needed to step back, relax a bit, not prioritize work as much. But then i got through the first day of April and had this feeling that i had just wasted my day. I didn't feel fulfilled, i filled my day with time wasting activities, so i decided to change my goals for the month. Screw taking a step back and taking it easy... I am the season of my life where i need to prioritize my work to be able to get the financial freedom i aspire to one day have. So i really enjoyed the intro cause i felt i could relate to a certain extent.

I've wrestled with this a lot, Hannah! For me I like the idea of stress recovery. One follows the other on repeat, and life will always be a constant see-saw between them. If I have too much recovery, I need stress to recalibrate, and vice versa. The trick is finding a balance. Peak experience for me is a short period of recovery after stress, before I desensitise. Struggle is worth it for these moments. Going to the gym for example is a low-hanging fruit we can get during the week. I like that boost in the morning, setting me up for the rest of the day. Stress is super important to my happiness and yet I think many people would remove it completely if they had the choice.

"Market structure" is only as good as the timeframe which contains the static snapshot of price. Analyzing value, on the other hand requires specialized software which reveals activity behind candlesticks. This is the reason why "structure" is widely proliferated.

motivation is fleeting - but remember why you’re doing this. the gain outweighs the costs… and everything has a cost anyway. with bad trading results - ASR that. you give meaning to everything, so why is it ‘bad’? is it poor entries / management / psychology / technicals etc. the more you can pinpoint what’s going on there, the better you can learn and improve 🔥
