Keep your credit card expenses below 30-40 percent and rectify mistakes in report

Check your free report on CIBIL's Website: myscore.cibil.com/CreditView/enrollShort.page See if there are any mistakes in the report, you can easily write a mail and rectify it. And as @rrsindia has said above, keep credit card ex below 40% of total limit.

For specific case, like this send a mail and go talk to the Branch Manager and explain your situation. Email will make sure you have written proof. Explain the situation, you can use ChatGPT to write a good mail by explaining your problem. If not resolved, contact higher up managers, their mails will be available on bank website. This should help. Once they say okay, you can send an email to CIBIL saying that the issue is resolved, and ask them to change the status of old loan in the CIBIL Report. You can find the CIBIL official mail from their website.
