My Option Selling Formula to Unlock $10k/month

Great video, I have been selling CSPs for about 8 months. Only started getting aggressive since Nov. That’s when my monthly income from options exploded. Went from making under $1000 a month to 2k in Nov, just under 5k in Dec and on track for around 5k in Jan. All with a relatively small account. I have recently been assigned a good amount of shares in stocks I wanted. The CC don’t seem to pay as well as the CSPs though.

No mention of how to manage a losing short-put trade? When would you stop out? How long will you roll before taking the loss? High IV is great for collecting premium, but what if the IV is high for a reason?

Followed Matt for months on youtube taking his picks weekly. Figured I'd take a try at his coaching program. Joined Nov of 2024. Avg monthly return in my account YTD is 30%.(3 months) For sure on the higher end of the returns. My goal was 10%. Satisfied customer here.

This video is insane. You say this is the same risk but its not. Anyone watching this thinking this is a good idea, you're in for a rough ride. Do I want to get caught holding a shit underlying security because I chased high IV premiums? Lol. I have a CSP that expires in 6 days on MSTR that made me 15K, but do I want to trade MSTR consistently. No. If I get assigned on AAPL, QQQ, NVDA, PLTR, etc. I'm okay with that. Start selling CC or run the wheel. That scanner is going to make people go broke. I usually make 5K-10K a month with 200K on good stocks, LEAPS, poor mans covered call, etc. You don't talk about the greeks, you don't talk exit strategy, you don't talk about rolling your position in a shit stock, and it's because you want people to buy what you're selling. There're too many good option traders out there and getting 3%-5% on good stocks on 30 DTO. Most people watching this video won't sign up, but they'll take what this video implies, thinking it's a great idea, and lose big. Chasing premiums from high IV shit stocks is a way to go broke or left holding the bag when that shit stock tanks. Just my two cents... but what do I know.

I don’t mean to be hard on you, but if you know exactly how to turn less than 20k into 6 times that amount in a year (10k a month) shouldn’t you have used it to turn your 140k into 840k instead of 500k?

Why would you not be? They just increased the authorized shares today from 330 Million to over 10 Billion! I actually got assigned on 3 of my $5 Puts over the weekend that were not set to expire till Feb21st. That’s ok though Smst was up early and I sold $5 CC for Feb21st for even more premium.

@@alieu3764what do you mean by $5 Put? Is that the bid/ask price? If so, is that a way around having a large amount of cash? Example: MSTR strike $370 would require $37k in your account.

Everyone know that indicators are always lagging and the higher the iv the higher the risk. For the new people I hope you understand the basics and know that buying or selling options is same as buying or selling insurance. So comparing a garage company obviously will pay more because you take on much risk. There is no such thing as easy money forever. Whenever you aim for higher returns you will have bigger losses as well.
