Wealthsimple is kinda terrible if you wana do USD. I dont know who came out with the idea that we should keep everything CAD so the cx can get smack down with conversion fees none stop. Crypto fees are also insane.

I would love to see you do a video about the pros and cons and reasons why Canadians would want to have exposure to the USD market and why Questrade is the best option for that? Obviously access to US markets is a good thing, but are there tax advantages? And I don’t fully understand currency hedging, so more info would be awesome! Had to sub to your channel, very insightful. Thanks!

i think its mainly just saving on the fees questrade vs other options, wealthsimple for example charges you a conversion fee every time you buy and sell a USD stock, where as questrade charges you once then you have that USD for good and can buy and sell, obviously if you buy and sell often the per buy/sell adds up, but wealthsimple does charge management fees that may not see like alot the first year, but if your giving them.5 percent for 30 years it adds up fast. so yeah i don't think there will be any different in a tax sense from platform to platform, the main thing is which service will work best for you with fees.

Wealthsimple seems like the best option for me. Do they have RESP for children as well? As of now Im with RBC direct investing but its 10$ per month to use the platform + 10$ on each transactions which is quite a lot (reason im looking to change my accounts over). I do have US holdings as well but Im not looking to buy more as of now. Thanks for all your videos! Super helpful!

Very helpful video. I'm a Canadian living overseas, which I know disqualifies me from using some trading platforms (you mentioned Wealthsimple). Do I have to prove that I live in Canada, and if so, how rigourous are they with checking that? Do they monitor the IP address of where the trade is coming from? I live overseas, but would love to be able to use Wealthsimple if I could. Any ideas?

What are you investing in? If you're betting on options or hype-driven penny stocks, your deposits disappearing is the least of your worries. What I would do is find a couple of notoriously safe ETFs like the S&P 500 and steadily invest in those, making sure they account for at least 50% of my entire portfolio (preferably more); Then after some research, pick whichever stock seems appealing and see how they perform compared to those ETFs I would say someone who did that would be happier with the outcome of those safer ETFs, however this ISNT financial advice! 😂 Happy trading!

Hi there. I'm buying US penny stocks from Canada and I want free Level II. Is that available? I believe WeBull might be of Dr NV that option. What broker would you be looking at for this type of trading? Also which broker do you think will offer overnight trading that's coming to OTC Markets in about a year's time. I'm buying between .0001 and $1. I'm curious about TD Greenline Think or Swim platform also. From the ads MOO MOO sounds too gimmicky but keeping an open mind... 🤔

Good evening, which bitcoin wallet is easier or more practical that I could use to have a BTC balance and what is the most practical way where I could buy how much is the minimum investment to purchase BTC in Canada? I am in London, Canada.
@GimmeSomeAdventure
@GimmeSomeAdventure 5 ай бұрын
if you don't plan on actually buying anything in bitcoin ever, like most people they'll never actually use bitcoin as a payment method, you can always just buy a bitcoin ETF, that way you get the benefits of making the money if bitcoin increases but you don't have to deal with having a crypto wallet and all the fees that go along with it. only works for bitcoin though cause currently i don't believe any other crypto currency has a ETF.
