7:28 - yes!! actually i have really bad social anxiety but after watching your first solo trip i felt confident enough to do one! i’m 17 so it wasn’t over night , just a day trip 3hours away from home on the train. but i learned to enjoy my own company and it was nice to just do whatever i wanted to :))

Aw I loved this Mark, I went to Cardiff Uni 2007 - 2010 and it was so lovely to see some of my old haunts - I think the name of the vintage shop had changed in the arcade but it was a vintage shop when I was there too and I loved getting my going out dresses in there before heading to The Welsh Club :) Thank you for sharing your adventures with us - you're brilliant and I love what you said about confidence and solo travelling - don't wait x

I've just been to Cardiff for the first time. Went to the castle and the same market as you. I stayed in a hotel right by the castle. It was the most scary experience for me travel. But it was amazing there. Every one was so kind. Best place to go alone. Crazy to see you in the same place I was in last week. Thank you for these alone travel diarys. Gave me the confidence to do it. A few weeks before was the first time I've ever got on a underground in London and train alone. At 28 you have taught me it's ok to go out alone. Thank you xx
