Actually, there’s no proof that a cat with a whistle has any relation to the value of the individual cat and whistle, or that it has an additive relationship. What if you’re supposed to multiply the cat and whistle? Then the lone cat would be worth 5/2. So unless specified outside the problem, then this system doesn’t have a solution
