@@loki4807 So, apparently after all the retcons that is, how it works is this. Wesker is a test tube baby. Somehow he's Genetically "Perfect." Birkin develops some kind of super virus, that basically gives you super human abilities, but somehow doesn't give a shit, and gives it to Wesker. Wesker shoots himself up with it during the mansion incident. Wesker "allows" Himself to be "killed" By the Tyrant. Sometime before the Mansions blows up, Wesker wakes up and makes his escape. So, no, by the time RE2 happens Wesker is believed to be dead, but very much alive. He's the one who sent Ada to retrieve a sample of the G-virus.

It's better to manage gunpowder and utilize what ammo you find then simply create bullets every time you find the powder. Because ultimately once you get passed a certain point, pistol ammo becomes overshadowed in terms of use compared to shotgun/magnum/grenade-launcher/smg in the long run.

Nah, I probably didn't explain myself right and probably didn't establish the context properly. What I meant was on the final 3 bosses, jenova, bizarro and safer sephiroth. I built up my gauge on jenova, saved the limit breaks for safer and not use any on bizarro = spamming attack and heal over and over until he dies. And then when Safer comes around, right on turn one I immediately used limit breaks, not even a minute later after I used everyone's limit break he already used supernova. Which was fast because most of the time it took people like 7 -10 on average to kill him when I saw the videos a long time ago, I think I killed him between 5 or 6. I don't remember but the song didn't even finish. The last time I played that game was almost 9 yrs ago, which was the only time I ever played that game. It was also the first time I ever playing rpgs at that time so I didn't know what to expect as a scrubby dumb high schooler. All I can say was I remember the final boss was disappointing. I even spent all my money on mega elixirs until I have 99 stock. Turns out I only had to use 1 the entire time.

MARK! the laser sighted pistol uses 9mm which you cant get in 2nd run mode so the only way to get that ammo is to USE THE DAMN GUNPOWDER (plz like so mark will see)

@Imagination Yes and it's very useful in the standard (not 2nd run) mode, because it loads faster, holds more ammo and has a nice laser sight. It gets less head exploding shots though and apparently it has the same focus mechanic as all the other guns, but you can't see it. Many people have varied opinions on this gun.

@@kuriousk927 Oh yikes, sorry for not answering. My bad everyone. In the original, we're a bit more privy to Irons' depravity. When you first meet him, he pretends to be civil, but waxes poetic about the beauty of the mayor's daughter, who's dead body is splayed on his desk. He also muses on how taxidermy used to be his hobby. Likewise, before meeting him, you find an FBI report bringing up how Irons was accused of rape twice in college, but got away with it due to his outstanding academic performance. Irons' diary also has him rant about how everything's going to shit, after which he gloats about how he's going to hunt down the surviving cops for sport. He gets really florid when talking about the look on a cop's face when he shoots him through the heart, and later about how he's going to hunt down the mayor's daughter. Personally I find him way creepier in the original than the remake, especially since he at least pretends to be on your side the first time you meet him so we can see a rough idea of how he was able to fool the public into thinking he was trustworthy.

In the original game, they actually name dropped him in a fax, putting you in suspicion against him. And then you meet him, pretending to be all "muh dutiful protector of the city", but there aren't anything to be wary of him "yet". And then the next time you meet him, that's in his fucking medieval torture dungeon, admitting to his crime before having the parasite split him in halves, vertically. The original game built up the mystery better, but there were little scenes involving him and he didn't even managed to do anything to you specifically. His death, tho, absolutely a treat for the soul. RE2R just make him go full villain from the get go, there's no mysteries here, probably because the majority of players are old fans and already knew the twist. But, he actually does become an infuriating obstacle (even if only story-wise), and actually does something *evil* for once. And then they just dropped the balls with "chest burster", sigh....

I like that they have different things that happen depending on the builds of the characters. Like Claire isn’t strong enough to lift that cabinet (even though she lifts another one but w/e lol) but all the extra muscle Leon has that allowed him to do it means he weighs more and breaks the ladder while Claire doesn’t. Nice touch to the game.
