Marklin CCS 800 version 5

Video of a rare 5th version of the famous crocodile of Marklin, the Marklin CCS 800 version 5, produced by Marklin during the years 1951 to 1953. Please note the old switch 800-3GP that this locomotive is mounted and the rare Spezial-Mechanik skate. This CCS800 has been completely revised and works now very well after 50 years of being on display in a glass case !

Bravo, ce CCS 800 est en superbe état et marche parfaitement. Le mien aurait bien besoin de passer dans ton atelier, il fonctionne par intermittence et se bloque fréquemment 😢

Great loco! Is the gold paint on the "CCS 800" and other inscriptions original? It looks a little messy and overpainted.

Hello Paul, glad to see you on my channel, hope you are well .-) I am not worry of the inscriptions, painting and colors of this locomotive are genuine and as you can see of the inside everything is really homogeneous. Overall this locomotive is coming from my personal collection i received in inheritance from my french uncle who buy personally locomotives and other stuff for one of his layout. Some other vintage locomotives you will find on my KZbin channel are coming from this collection, from the same period, the beginning of the 50'. I hope you will come frequently on my channel as i often read your website! "Un abbraccio" from Italy.

@@Mymarklin Wonderful to see your reply message. Yes that must be correct, perhaps from the factory the gold paint was just running a little bit over. But it definitely looks 100% original on the inside as you say. I am checking your channel often as it's very good videos! Best wishes from California
