Certainly is a huge wagon Jim like the way it navigates the curves very impressive. The diesel loco sounds are great so life like.a wave and thumbs up lol. Kev

percomotion Hi Kev, its a very unique model..as it can be set up to shift left or right to adjust to curves like the prototype...the sounds are from the lok sound v4.0 hooked up to a base reflex speaker inside the v200...the v200 is only 4 wheel drive but it has enough weight to pull the 1.5 kgs of the wagon.

Hi Jim It's indeed an impressive wagon. Trix has a very good collection of impressive and beautiful cargo wagons. I noticed you used the trix couplings instead of the fleischnann profi. Any special reason for that? I'm glad to see that the turntable is working perfectly Cheers Helder Oliveira

Helder Oliveira Hi Helder, I still use two types of trix marklin couplings where locos have dcc controlled couplings. And thanks yes the turn table is running sweet...its running at the slowest speed on the tt decoder I think this helps when moving very heavy locos like the marklin gg1. The box for this wagon is huge too... I picked this wagon up for £60 brand new which is less then three times the rrp when launched one of my best buys.

Yes ebay but the deal was done outside of ebay with no seller fees. One of my trusted private sellers had a huge amount of new trix fleischmann and roco items which I bought a lot of .. He was selling up ...he is no longer selling on ebay any more. I even got all my dcc cranes from him...

Helder Oliveira He is no longer selling on ebay.. He sold all of what he had left to a trader buyer and that was a few years back now. I could not buy in bulk as I would need to be a shop to sell it on.

Your turntable - now that's what I call a turntable Jim. Thought the slanted camera angle was good too. What is that thing with the wild overhang? Looks nuclear. Laurie.

It's a large scale transformer, The prototype moves left and right on hydraulics from the cabs at each end of the wagon. The model too can be setup to move left and right at each cab end so to avoid removing track side objects etc on a preplaned route. This wagon can only travel on certain routes on my layout as on sharp curves it overhangs a lot. The wagon comes in three sections and can run without the huge transformer. Wagon is 90%metal and weighs well over one and a half kilograms.
