Do you maybe have measurements of a decent size dirt jump? I'm building a dirt jump line and the second dirt jump is going to be wooden... Tuned in from SOUTH AFRICA!
@MarkMatthewsMTB4 жыл бұрын
No I don't, I've always just eyeballed stuff and never measured in detail. There's so many factors involved in dimensions like jump steepness, gap size, etc. You just have to dig, ride, dig, ride, and learn what works.
@albertbouw044 жыл бұрын
@@MarkMatthewsMTB ok - and what about a wooden jump? ( meant to ask it in the first comment...)

Mark Matthews wow, really, so do you think a bike with 170 front and 160 rear will be enough for a bike park like highland or killington?

Noah Paradise I’ve never been to those parks but I think that’s plenty. I have no problem in Whistler with bikes that size

Have you ever had issues with people wanting to remove your trails. Where I live if you build your own stuff it’s pretty likely to get destroyed if found by the city or the mtb association. It’s my dream to build some gnarly old school wooden north shore features
@MarkMatthewsMTB4 жыл бұрын
Yes, all the time. A bunch of dirt jump spots got removed while growing up. With this location I got super lucky, it''s on private land in a semi-rural residential area pretty far out of the city and the landowners don't seem to care.

How were you able to get the rights to build on this land?
@MarkMatthewsMTB4 жыл бұрын
Never asked permission and still not sure who owns the land. Someone complained to the district once and it turns out its private land so they couldn't do anything about it. I'm still not certain who the landowners are and I'm actually amazed it's lasted this long.
