⁠@@Fiji74 🎧 If you know, you know! 🎧 (quote by Pusha T, produced by Kanye West, but it’s valid for all sorts of contemporary music, not just hip-hop music) because most of mainstream pop music performed by worthless though good looking celebrity-dolls (merely puppets-on-a-string) and even the vast majority of underground tracks (house, techno, trance, and everything in between) are based on just samples. You might be surprised how many - manipulated - samples (copyrighted by past artists) are still used to produce your favorite EDM tracks nowadays. When it’s just overfilled with nothing but samples, it’s lacking originality. Definitely. 💯 👎🏼. My message: be creative and original if you start producing your own tracks instead of stealing the work of others! 🤨
